I have several Phalaenopsis all sitting on a table facing a floor to ceiling window with curtained light. Several weeks ago, four of them grew spikes which matured with multiple buds on them. On one plant two buds have opened, BUT on each some of the mature buds have turned yellow and will soon drop. I have not done anything new, mist daily (only water they get) with filtered water. The day-night temperature is the same (? 70 F). Can anyone offer ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks

When you mist, does the mist get onto the buds? I've never misted mine. I just take them to the sink and water till it runs out the bottom of the post. Don't let water pool at the base of the leaves or it will cause rot....
