Yep you guessed it, I got a new betta. He's all white except for a few small red freckles on what we'll call his forehead. I've heard red freckles are a sign of "attitude in humans" so think he's pretty much gonna live that partas a betta. He appears very healthy, lots of swimming and flaring as he socializes with another betta in his view. I got this one at a lfs where I went to buy frozen bloodworms, there he was swimming around with some other fish on display...looked lively and healthy so not exactly a rescue but I decided to take him home. He doesn't have a name for sure yet, but since I was born in snow country it might be snowflake unless I can come up with something else that sounds whiter than whiteoooohhhh we'll call him Tide...I also grew up near the ocean and of course there is the tide that gets clothes whiter than white. Tide it is. I will get some pictures of him over the next couple of days but it will be a while til they get posted.

Glad you like the name, yep I think its gonna work. I did take a few pictures of him this afternoon but need to cut them down etc and have to use my desktop to do that sometime when I want to go sit in the basement LOL....He won't take the place of Finley, actually it was Finneas and Finley who got me addicted to these little critters, but anyway i will enjoy him, and still remember I didn't have to wonder what I was going to put him in when I got him home. he will take good care of Finleys tank, but not fill his place in my heart for one of my very first bettas.

Hey...I see a lot of you have your fish pictures as your icon (I think that's what you would call it). How were you able to do that? That is too cute!!!

Well, my bettas are all doing excellent. I had a little bout of "ick" that I had to deal with, but the two that had it, are back in business and feeling their oats once again. It's such a good feeling to see them improving everyday, and then when they are back, you sure can see it---in their color, their attitude, and their activity. I'm so glad that's over with--and that everyone came out ok.

Well, I hope everyone and their bettas (and other fish you may have), are doing good, and keeping healthy.... :rolleyes:

The fry are getting bigger all the time..had to start jarring some of them already. Actually I have them in 10 oz. plastic cups floating in the fry tanks. Still having a hard time telling the veiltails from the crowntails...when I can figure that out I'll seperated one from t'other and send you some pics..if you're still interested. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

This is so neat, we get to know each other by our personlities and now daily we get visual reminders of some of the fish associated with us. I love it...too cool. cat deserves a big group hug or something, just not sure how to pull it off but it is wonderful!!
