I have the US version of the game. I read in the walkthrough pages here that you can get lots of gil by getting godhand powered up and killing mimics in ultima's neck of the woods. well i have godhand powered all the way (have gilionaire)in other words but the mimics don't give me more than 100,000 but the walkthrough sections says it's an easy 500,000 per battle at the point i'm at building my characters i need the other 400,000 so i need to know if there is something i need to do to get the full 500,000. Does Rikku need to be one of the three party members up front? does she need to try to steal or mug from the mimic before i summon Yojimbo?

I also read the thread about ultimate armor and the ribbon thing that supposidly takes dark matter to make. what creature drops dark matter? someone said one of the creatures at the zoo, please be a little more specific so i can see if it's in my version of the game.

I was asking the same question too on the gil...

vaminn, any monstar in the zoo can drop dark matters. I have found at least 300 dark matters when i'm collecting spheres to remake my grid <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'm not sure on this theory, but I think Rikku needs to kill mimic with godhand. I also have the us version (I'm jealous that we don't have dark aeons to fight! <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> always love a good battle) and the zoo they're talking about is the monster arena in the calm lands. You have to catch monsters from all over and he will make some nasty monsters and give you some really good items. Good Luck!

I think the idea is having *multiple* characters equip weapons with Gillionnaire, obviously only rikku can equip godhand, the other two have to receive gillionnaire weapons the regular way (customizing with Designer Wallet).

Mimic without gillionaire 50000
1 gillionnaire character 100000
2 ----------//----------s 200000
3 ----------//----------s 400000

According to some walkthroughs all the gillioguys have to be in the winning trio btw.

I have not tried it out, and I've also read in some other walkthroughs that Gillionaire weapons do not comulate.

I'm pretty sure that Gillionaire weapons are not cumulative. But to get the 100k gil from the battle with the minics, you need to have Rikku in the party and she needs to have done a move before you use Yojimbo

You have to have the character with the stat in the weapon for it to apply, this goes for gillionair, double/triple ap etc.

The us version sux, no dark aeons, no ribbon...how am i supposed to have elite characters with no ribbon???

im uk and have dark aeons but im not leveled up enough and can only beat dark valefor

i have the uk version but i havent finished making my characters Uber. i might be able to beat a few more (i've already killed Dark Shiva and Dark Valefor with Zanmato), but i havent tried cos i still need to get Luck 255 and MP and HP spheres

ok i got some dark matters lastnight and they don't allow ribbon =*(. i'll try a few different things with the gil kills. and of course rikku does something before you summon yojimbo... she opens the box with the mimic in it.

On a different subject i've been trying to get yojimbo to "like" me so i summon him in the arena so that he'll get more than one attack before something dies... any ideas on how much i should go about paying him to build his opinion of me and increase chances of zanmoto, which i've seen all of 3 times and they've all been from free attacks right after something attacked him or right when he was summoned.

Hey brothas ive heard it all as far as money goes and mimics is NOT the best way to get cash.. the most u get even with 3 ppl with gillionair which i treis i only ger 101024 or something close to that...

Here's the dilly on how to get good coin quick..
Get Kottos hes a boss at the monster arena in the area conquest section. (maybe species conquest) if you have him as an option do the following... If you have an aeon by this time either enima or bahamut should be about this strength..

1-Go to killika port talk to the old bad under the hut with the treasure chest and fill up your inventory with i think their called PEARL sheild (for tidus) cost 2250 Gil... BUy as many as you can fit in your inventory

2- GO back to arena and if your aeon who is at strength 255 get him curaga if his HP isint above 7000HP

3- Next choose to fight kottos. Beat him down with your aeon at 99,999 damage a hit it should be about 5 hits. With overkill you will receive 40 healing spring!!

4- Fight kottos 3 time in this manner which means youll have 99 healing springs.

5- Choose to customize your PEARL SHIELD and add with teh healing springs the SOS Regen.
You should be able to customize 8 of them per 99 healing springs.

6-Now each PEARL SHEILD(2250 Gil) is now a REGEN SHEILD(29317 Gil or close to that) and that means far each armor your bringing in 27000+ Gil for each peice..

7-Repeat!!

I myself didnt think this was the quickest way until i actually tried it and then realized that not only do i get semi decent experience for yuna but that the money jus6t flies in so MUCH FASTER than it would fighting mimics. Just try it with 8 peices or armor if u dont like it quit but i promise results and if anyone can tell me how the hell to get 400,000k per mimic im open to suggestions, i know its not 3 ppl with gillionair that does it ive tried!!
