If you're hungry and tired and just want to eat something quick, what is your go-to snack?

Cashews if I'm feeeling really hungry, a cracker if not so hungry. I carry a baggie of nuts and a small bottle of water in my purse.

I also like cashews. Swiss cheese is a favorite snack.

I get those rectangular hunks of cheddar cheese and chop one up. Usually I chop the whole thing up and put it into a ziplock so I can grab a few easily when I'm hungry. I also have tins of almonds and peanuts that I munch on.

I like either the mozzarella string cheese, or if my mom and daughter are both home with me, we will pop up a snack size bag of popcorn and split it 3 ways.

Cindi -

I have a page on popcorn here -

Popcorn - Healthy of Junk Food?

Certainly popcorn is better than candy smile But I'd work towards having chopped up fresh veggies in the fridge instead!

Soy nuts are good. I often grab a protein bar or have a protein shake if I am in a hurry. Bananas in yogurt.

I do love protein shakes and have one every morning. I have the EAS ones which have vitamins and such and are low in sugar, but there are all sorts out there which are just as good. This just happens to be the one I like the taste of.

So yes I highly recommend having protein shakes around as an easy, healthy option.
