Our first daughter's name is Audrey Claire. For our next child we have some names in mind..But I feel like they aren't...THERE yet. If that makes any sense. Some other names we've thought about are: Meredith Olivia Elodie Faye Landon Keith James Grissom I've had comments that Olivia is an olive, that Faye is kinda country, Landon is super mainstream, and Grissom is from CSI. I'd love for the names to go along with the precedent that we have set with our first daughter. Classy, a name that will age well. We like different and unusual names, But I don't want my child to be the next CoCo or Apple. :D Thanks for the help

For a girl i am partial to Wynter (Winter)

For a boy I LOVE Roman. If I had another boy, that would have been the name.......

Hmmm. What about these, in no particular order:

Aubrey
Sophia
Kelsey
Chelsea
Nomi
Noni
Dane
Heavenly
Fiona
Cameron
Portia
Chloe
Royal

I guess those aren't terribly original or unusual though.

Kylieleeanne,

I like the names you are thinking about, but I would switch them around:

Olivia Meredith, for instance, has a better sound to it - it flows better. Same for the others:
Faye Elodie

Keith Landon

Grissom James

Audrey Claire's name is very classy and simple. (Really lovely choice, btw!)

Names like Meredith Olivia and Elodie Faye, up against Audrey Claire, sound to me like they're a little "too much," if that makes sense. More sophisticated than simple.

Names that I think might be a better fit would be...let's see...names like Laura, Julie, Marie, Lucy, Helen, Alice, Paula, or Sarah. Names that are shorter & less pretentious.

I think James, Keith and Landon that are good fits to Audrey and Claire. Grissom not as much. (I get that CSI association too, though that's sure to fade over time.)

As far as Landon being mainstream...it's definitely trendy. And, because it's trendy now, it will likely sound dated one day. Names that rise fast tend to fall fast.

(Ironically, Audrey and Landon were both the 44th most popular baby names for their respective genders in 2008. That isn't saying much, as the lists are pretty different, but it's still a funny coincidence.)

For other ideas...I really like Maureen's suggestion of Roman, and I think names like Vincent, Henry and David would also sound good.

Love the suggestions thank you. Faye was my grandmother's middle name; Wilma was her first. It's a bit of an unspoken tradition for the KL LK initials. My name Kylie Leanne. My mother's Lisa Kay (she doesn't want me using any part of her name..dammit). Grandfather; Lamoine (Monty) Keith. GreatAunt Katherine Lenore (which i love, but am not close to her at all). I know there are more...But can't remember right off the top of my head. But as you can see it's a family thing. :D

Are you planning to continue the KL/LK tradition? We can stick to suggestions that start with K and L, if that's helpful.

I would love to have at least one child in that tradition. Though more then that i feel would be unnecessary. I am open to girl and boy variations of such. In fact I'd love to hear all y'all have to offer! thank you so much!
