Thanks so very much for this detailed explanation about tieing skeins. I learned something again and am always thrilled with your articles. Great to have you back!!! Question: If your skein is very large, meaning lots of yardage, how are you to tie the large skeins if 2 loops seem to small.

2 loops in the figure 8 ties is standard. But there is no reason why you couldn't make more loops. I would just not enter it in a show smile
