This is the topic over on my page, but I am really interested in hearing from people on both sides of the debate. I grew up with the occasional glass of Nestle's Qwik or Hershey's Chocolate Syrup-flavored milk and I didn't suffer from ADD or childhood obesity. (In fact, I never had a weight problem at all until I got the notorious "Freshman 15" in college from eating the yummy sweet rolls on offer. My feeling is if your kids want chocolate milk, make sure it's "homnemade" and not purchased with all those corn syrup solids. What do you think?

Actually.....from a chemical standpoint the chocolate breaks down the calcium and your kids get less of it when you add chocolate. I did some homework on the subject when the chocolate calcium "candies" came out on the market.

You're probably better off offering your kids a homemade peanut butter or oatmeal cookie with that glass of milk.

I can dig up some of my links if you'd like, just let me know! : )
