New to the board..with a question for everyone...Starting a relationship last July..with a friend of the family..has grown and we are not exclusive to each other but our not "boyfriend/girlfriend" so to speak.. We have a good time together, we have some much in common but he's not ready for a relationship so he says.. I have 2kids from a previous relationship and my ex is in prison.. I think this has alot to do with it.. He thinks once he gets out.. I will get back with him.. theres an age difference Im 28 hes 36 but I know thats not it because I am very mature adult..We talk about relationships and what he wants.. but hes not ready.. I think he could possibly be "the one" what should I do?? continue as we are and hope he wants a commited relationship.. or give him a ultimatum.. its all or nothing....Keep in mind we have known each other all my life practically.. any comments would be appreciated... My personal opinion: if you are not in an exclusive relationship now, how will you be in the future. If you are head over heels in love, than you don't want to spent time with someone else. Maybe you could tell him that you want the relationship to become exclusive and that YOU are stopping dating other people. Then he sees how serious you are. If he doens't do the same, I think you now what to do.
