What are your thoughts on green tea? Is it really good for you? Is there any one form of this tea that is better then the other?

I've been drinking several cups of green tea daily for about 10 years and I do think it has given me a really healthy immune system. I rarely ever get sick.

I have an article on my health website about the health benefits of green tea which explains why green tea is so good for you.

Joan,
EXCELLENT article!!! Thank you so much!!! Now I'm trying to figure out the best way to brew the tea in the morning and take it to work with me every day. I don't really like hot liquids (they make me thirsty smile ) That way I can drink it all day long.
Excellent information!
Thanks again!

I make some green tea for dinner in the evening and make enough to drink the next day too. I just put it in the frig and drink about 3 glasses a day.

I really like a good quality Matcha Green Tea. I think it is better to consume the entire tea leaf and there is less caffeine because you can eat it "raw" in a smoothie or mixed in warm almond milk. I get my green tea from Teavana but other brands are also good. Stash Tea makes a good one.

Where do you get your Matcha Green Tea? I got of the Republic of Tea brand at World Market but haven't seen it in ordinary grocery stores.

Waht brand do you like?

I have tried and tried to like green tea. Any tea actually. I know it's so good for us, but my taste buds just say YUCK.

Debra, have you tried using the flavored green teas? You can always add stevia for sweetness. Stevia is a natural sweetener, made of plants, which has zero calories and no bad effects.

I think tea can be an acquired taste for many but once you get used to it, it's worth it for the health benefits.
