Professional, PH balanced for the skin and hair, no unneccesary chemicals, etc.

I always recommend professional since I have yet to find an OTC that I would ever recommend to a client

There are many high quality shampoo and conditioner products. I suggest listening to your hair care professional because they can recommend a product that is suitable for your type of hair.

I always recommend professional products. I'm sure there are good over-the-counter products available but there are many more that are not so good. Cheaper prices almost always indicate cheaper ingredients. (For instance, my LC Legacy line uses the highest quality ingredients available) Over-the-counter products also tend to be a bit more watered down so you are actually paying more for the product than you realize.
