Our family favorite on game night is Triviathon. It's a fast-paced trivia game, but you don't have to know the answers to play or win so it's great for various ages to play together. I really like it because it doesn't take hours to play a game and no one ends up feeling "dumb" (especially me...lol). :D

I bought a game a few years back in a speciality toy store in a local mall. It's name is Word Play. There are different levels and not only do you have to define the word, there are extra points for spelling it as well. It's a challanging game and I'm so proud when my 13 year old scores well. However, one of our favorite games to play is Masterpiece. Everyone wants to be the auctioneer!

Oh, Vance...how could you hate Scrabble? (I love Scrabble and Upwords.)

Jilly, you may find that Battleship has a BattleStar Galactica flavor at: www.battlestargalacticadvd.com/game/index.html

I like Aggravation and Monopoly. 221B Baker Street is a lot of fun, too!

Sorry Vance, I LOVE scrabble. I even play it alone sometimes...I loved Boggle - but I haven't played it or seen it in stores in awhile now that I think of it. Monopoly (especially the Spongebob version...lol..) and Life. There are probably a ton others whose names aren't coming to mind at the moment. Is scattergories (probably spelled all wrong) a board game? Trivial Pursuit.
When we were young, we always played board games at family gatherings. Thanks for the memories this question brings back. We had stopped for awhile, but we're back at it.
