I have one of those reptile heaters that didn't make my tank warm enough because my apartment is so cold. But it works well if you keep your house reasonably warm. Anyway, I'm not going to use it, so if anyone is interested, I'd sell it for $10. It is practically brand new, and is $17 at Petsmart. Or I'd be willing to make a trade. For what, I am not sure, but make me an offer! If anyone is interested, either post here or email me mata0032@umn.edu.

This is a good deal, and someone here should buy it. I am in favor of you all selling your used items, but I reserve the selling of new items for myself. I will continue to work hard to get you all killer deals. Right now I have testing kits and stick-on thermometers. More to follow.

Anyway, one of you newbies might want to get Meow's pad. It's REALLY good for using with two aquascenes, back to back on one pad. perfect temps.

C'mon, someone MUST have a betta who is a little chilly. I can hear them shivering from here! Also, I was thinking about possible trades-anyone have plants that need dividing, driftwood they are not using, or other aquascaping accesseries? I want to get a couple more tanks up and running by the end of the summer, so I'm pretty open. Actually, it doesn't even have to be fish related, heck I'm a poor college student, I'll take anything!

I wish I could help you out. I was a poor college student not too long ago so I completely understand. I just don't have anything I can trade since I am using everything I own, and I have so many reptiles that I have enough of those heat pads in my home as well. I will see if i know anyone who might be interested, but if Jilly can make a trade with you, I would go with that.

Plants and snails are an easy ship. I have some Gold mystery Snails that are very pretty and don't eat plants, just algae. Or some underwater Acoris Plants - they look like reeds. Also test kits and stick-on thermometers.

Folks, I don't really need a heater, but am more than happy to have a spare. Please jump in and claim this if you need a heater - I know some folks needed one, and this is a cheaper option than buying two Jr Heaters (since one pad will heat two aquascenes).

Oh..Jilly...about those mystery snails...they eat algae?....are they a prolific pain? If I put one in a tank...will I still only have one at the end of the month??

But dang...I put salt in my tanks..and snails and salt don't mix..so I guess that's out....some of my tanks have an algae issue..since I keep the lights on all the time to keep the water temp stable. I have tried the octo cats and they cleaned up the tanks real good, but they just aren't very hardy..all the ones I had are gone. I know algae isn't harmful for the fish...but it sure looks ugly!

um, I never mix snails with bettas, since bettas REALLY like to kill and play with and eat them. I don't know, maybe a BIG snail would be safe, but I won't risk my cutie inverts to try. Anyone know? I use snails for my other fish, and they are AWESOME on algea.

Meow, I also have a lot of used plastic and silk tank plants - they would be easy to ship, if you are interested.
