Oh! I wanted to make my own bath salts for Christmas gifts this year. Your recipes sound great! I love the sweet fragrances and the pretty colors. I have a question though. I like tinted bath salts but will the food colors stain skin?

Food coloring added to bath salts have a tendency to stain the skin slightly. I suggest going light on the food coloring. If your skin does get stained by the food coloring usually a bit of vigorous washing or relaxing in a foamy bubble bath and rinsing the skin afterwards removes the stain. And for a stubborn stain rub lightly with lemon juice and rinse.

Thank you for the wonderful recipes. Epson Salts is wonderful to use on tired achey muscles when you have overdone it during the holidays, but now I also get aromatherapy thanks to your great recipes!

Thanks for your reply! Epsom salt is an excellent treat and remedy for a tired achy body. And the aromatherapy effects are a plus! And packaging these Bath Salts in cute glass containers and tied with festive bows makes an excellent low cost holiday gift!
