Help!!!! It's that time of year again and everywhere you look there are Holiday cookies!! I go the work and there are cookies, go over a friends and there are cookies, home more cookies and back to work even more cookies because everyone feels the need to bake. Is there anything out there that I can take that is all natural to help with cravings or to surpress the appetite? It can't have caffeine because I'm caffeine sensative.

Drinking plenty of water will also help you feel full so even if you have a cookie or candy, you will not be so tempted to eat as much because you will be fuller.

I have a hard time saying no to sugar too but only when my diet is off. If my diet is on target with what is right for my metabolic type I could probably moonlight over at Marie Calendars and never want a piece of pie but when my chemical balance is off because my diet is unbalanced then the cravings are out of control. My sister has the same problem and so do many of my clients.

Check out a book called The Diet Cure by Julia Ross. In the book she recommends all kinds of supplements to deal with carb and sugar cravings and she also explains why we experience uncontrollable cravings and have such a hard time saying no to sugar and carbs and potato chips or soft drinks.

My friend Sean put up a video about this where he talks about this and Julia's book. In the video he shows you all the supplements Julila recommends in her book. Very cool video! supplements to curb sugar cravings

I can so relate to what Sean is talking about. I'm going to pick up The Diet Cure By Julia Ross this week!! I started drinking a concentrated green tea that's equal to about 15 cups or regular green tea but with out the caffeine so with the tea and a good book hopfully I can atleast get jump started. Thanks for the book recommendation.

Hey Eva

Thanks for sharing. Green tea is a great metabolism booster and it's also a really great drink to have when you're having cravings or feeling like you're going to give in to something you really don't want to eat.

Something having to do with the smell disrupting the message your brain is getting to binge. I think virtually anything that involves your other senses could curb a craving. Walking up and down a flight of stairs, talking on the phone, going outside for some fresh air, and even laying down for 5 minutes.

I know tons of people who crave sugar when they are tired and just taking a break can often be all your body needs to get past a nasty craving.
