Hi!

What is the best way to fix car scratches and other areas where the paint has come off?

We have a twelve year old car, and would love to fix these things ourselves (unless it's better to have it done by a professional).

Any thoughts?

Once the paint begins to strip, your finish becomes vulnerable. I would recommed getting some touch-up paint. A professional paint job is not the remedy for a 12-year old vehicle that has scratches and paint peeling. Best wishes.

Thank you so much, Autopolishing1!

Do you have any suggestions of where to purchase touch up paint for cars? Would it be at an auto shop or a paint shop?

Wal-Mart carries most auto detailing products. Start there and good luck.

Hi Marie!

Thank you so much the advice!

I'll check out Wal-Mart--that's a great suggestion!

Thank you again! smile

I believe in settling for the very best to achieve the best results, even if it comes at a higher fee. I'll suggest you visit a professional to do the paint job. Take care.
