It's Thanksgiving time in the United States - a time to give thanks for the blessings in our lives.

Do you have a favorite quote about gratitude to share?

I saw this one recently -
"Giving thanks is one course from which we never graduate."Valerie Anders

I just spotted one I found in the newspaper this morning. How fitting to find a thread on it. "If a fellow isn't thankful for what he's got, he isn't likely to be thankful for what he's going to get." Frank A. Clark

George 57 - That's a good one! And so true.

I saw this one: "Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses."

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. ~ Melodie Beattie

I have a piece of advice rather than a quote, It was from David Salmon, an Athabascan Episcopal Priest from Nothern Alaska. He told people to wake up in the morning and say/pray please for all of the good things they would look forward to, and then before sleep at night to say thank you for all of the good things that came to pass. It was meant in a way to express gratitude and thankfulness for everything that happened, no matter how big or small.
