A new study to be released this week from Henry Ford Hospital shows a more virulent strain of MRSA has been identified. It appears to have a higher mortality rate, but this may also have to do with the fact that the average age of infection with this strain was higher.
See my latest article about hand sanitizing foam to help you get in the mindset of preventing the spread of infection during your shift.

Hand sanitizing gels and wipes are available everywhere now. The facility I work at has hand sanitizer pumps at the entrance and all over the building for patients, staff and visitors to utilize. I have also noticed that even grocery stores are now suppling santitizing wipes for cart use. I encourage everyone to carry some type of sanitizer with you and to utilize them frequently when out in the public. There are some really nasty bugs sitting on everything you touch and is spread to everyone you touch.

I always use these wipes - it's the first thing i look for in grocery stores.

I am actually getting paranoid about going out. I try to remember not to touch things, not to touch other people, and not to touch my face.

Fun, fun.

recent research has found out that mrsa cannot live on copper surfaces? the tests showed that the introduction of copper handles to replace aluminium handles and all other aluminium and metal surfaces, would bring the disease level under control, other tests on mrsa concluded that cleaning fluids used by most hospitals had a tendency to help the mrsa disease thrive and yes multiply? the cost of using copper surfaces would definitely solve the problem but the nhs in england is exhausted enough at the moment, and the cost to replace and refit copper would be enormous, so sadly we wont be seeing this change, i bet there are other factors that wont allow this to happen and it also comes down to greed by companies making aluminium products.

Silver Sol should be used all the time in hospitals. They used it on my nephew when he was burnt by electrocution. I have been using it for a long time to treat infections in humans and the animals.

Silver Sol is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial. Some silvers have been shown in vitro to destroy bacteria, both forms of viruses, fungus and other significant diseases including MRSA, SARS, malaria, anthrax poisoning, gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive bacteria, Hepatitis C, AIDS, and influenza.

Potent anti-inflammatory
Non-toxic, even at high levels
No side effects or contra-indications; safe for all individuals
Doesnt encourage resistant microbial strains
Has prophylactic potential in disease prevention
Immune system enhancer
Cost-effective
Internal and topical usage
Works synergistically with prescribed antibiotics
More effective than traditional antibiotics and other drugs

This would sort out the problems in hospitals so why don't they use it all the time. It works and it is available. It can make the difference whether a limb is amputated or not!

The problem with the National Health Service is that it is run by the drug companies and they do not want independent companies, like those who produce Silver Sol, muscling in on their profits.
