I got this idea from a family member. She posted on FaceBook to think of something you are thankful for every day until Thanksgiving and to post it. So I thought I would bring this idea here. Some days it is so hard to find something to be thankful for, especially in those days where you're not feeling so spiritual. We all feel those days, as I read in the other forums today and in Michelle's article. My heart goes out to you.

Since I started the exercise, though, I found my spirits become lifted a little more as I thought about it all day and the list of things to be thankful for grew and grew. Soon enough, I realized how much I really have to be thankful for rather than complain about what I don't have or what I lost (which, let's face it everyone, I complain too much).

Before today, I had expressed my gratitude for the love I have in my life from my husband and my children.

Today I am thankful for Tylenol. Without it, my kids' fevers would be frightfully high today!

I am also thankful for having a great job that I am very good at that provides food on my table, insurance for the unexpected, and a plethora of friends and colleagues.

What are you thankful for today?

I've seen this on FaceBook Melody, great topic!

I'm thankful for each of my children - they each one give me something very different in life to be inspired about:

My oldest son has Asperger's, and he looks at the world in a completely different light from everyone else I know. Some of his insights are amazing and extremely profound.

My daughter is a truly caring soul, she is empathy personified. I watched her this past weekend as we volunteered at a camp for low functioning autistic and Down Sydrome children, and she took those little ones right under her wing and got some of them to open up that none of the adults could reach.

My youngest son is pure joy, he makes me laugh almost every day. I keep thikning of the day I caught him brushing the cat with my hiarbrush and I freaked out and he goes, "but Mooooom, she;s a GIRL cat!" grin

I wouldn't trae a single one of them (well at least not most of the time!) LOL!
