Susan Mallery's writing reminds me a lot of Debbie Macomber's. They both write characters that feel like real people. The characters don't always do what I want or expect them to do. Sometimes they make bad choices, and then they have to live with the consequences and find a way out of the mess they created. Plus, Susan Mallery always makes me laugh, which is a good thing!
