Don't forget Cadence and the various kreaytiv spellings, ie Kaydinz, Caedance, etc...it always makes me think one or both of the kid's parents are one of those "band geek" teenagers who spends way too much time in the drumline.

Then there's Haley. Bailey. Connor (esp. when spelled with a K, and this goes for all other boys' names spelled with K, such as Kaleb). Kaylee/Kylee. All those names that sound like the parents just couldn't correctly spell the name, like Makayla and Antwan (if you can't spell it, don't use it!). And, of course, all "speshul" spellings of these names, of which there are so many I could puke.

My daughter just turned 13 her name is Rachal Hope.
There are alot of Rachel's or Racheal's but I have never had another Rachal.

My son is Evan Spencer. There are not too many Evan's.

My ex-husband just had a baby with his second wife and they named their daughter Emily. Emily has been the number one and two girl's name from 1996 until 2005. this year it dropped to second place replaced by Jessica.

Before I legally changed my name to Erika. There were always 2-4 with the same name in my class and I hated it. That is why I wanted to find something slightly individualized for my kids. Rachal is spelled differently. Evan is simply not very common, although it is becoming more common.

Have a blessed day-

I have a four month old daughter who I named Abbey. Not because it was a popular name but because she was named after someone. I'm not a fan of popular names either, if she were a boy she would have been Owain.

Having worked in daycare centers, many of the names that i once considered using for myself and thought were beautiful (and still do think they are beautiful in some cases) i would NEVER consider using now simply because it seems as tho every-other child in the classroom has that name. This includes (and any variant of spelling on the names) off the top of my head: Abigail Hannah Emma Isabella anything-ella Kylie, Bailey, Kailey anything-leigh Dylan Lily Olivia Caleb Gabriel Emily Connor Payton Sky/Skylar Aiden/Hayden/Brayden/Jayden/Kayden (i think i've heard that "aiden" sound at the end of just about every beginning possible) Jacob Sophie/Sophia Mackenzie/Mackenna Grace Madison/Addison (and the nicknames Mady and Addie for so many different names right now) Ava Avery (unfortunately, because this was my Grandfather's name) i still really like some of those names but would hesitate strongly to use them because of their popularity. Another problem with working with children is that i have developed some negative connotations with certain names (either due to the children or to their parents) and so unfortunately this makes it difficult for my wife and i to agree upon names! some names i would never, ever choose for my child (without meaning offense to anyone, simply due to personal experience, choice & associations): Trinity Destiny Nevaeh Tracy/Stacy Jordan Taylor Jamie
