Heartstrings

A parent broken heart from the death
of their precious child,
Never beats again! Its just an illusion.
We are the great pretender!
We hide behind the Mask Of grief and pain
Giving the impression were ok,
When were dying, inside emotionally bankrupt.
Yearning; for our children gone too soon.
Days are filled with endless tears.
Silent nights become a series of haunting memories.
We subconsciously continue to agonize
Over all the impossible dreams.
The death of or child is intoxicating.
Silent memories help soften our raging tears that flow,
When were consumed by pain.
They guide and teach us to have faith and believe
Someday we will be together again.
Precious child,
Your Spirit is soaring Free
Exploring the universe
On the wings of our love.
