Hello College Students!

Have you considered some possible internships? The first place to check is with your major's department. If an internship is required for graduation, then they will have guidelines about what is acceptable.

It's always a good idea to start thinking sooner rather than later. Explore your options and consider how you might need to structure your time during an internship.

Internships are great opportunities. Sometimes they can open doors to employment after graduation. At the very least, your internship will fulfill requirements for graduation and serve as a great addition to your resume.

So, what kinds of internships appeal to you?

Best wishes!

Cheryl

My daughter, who is an architect major in college, got an internship at a local architecture firm and started out making $16/hr. They'd actually like to hire her when she graduates.

My stepdaughter, who is a civil engineer did the same. She got hired by the company where she did her internship in college.

I think it's a great idea for students!

Hi Joan,

Thanks for sharing. That's exactly the kind of opportunity that internships can offer. Engineering is a great field.

Maybe some other students will be inspired by this example.

Best wishes!
