I just saw the preview for The Stepfather. I think it will be good. It looks alot like Disturbia, another good movie. Darci

Disturbia was basically just a teenage version of Rear Window - haven't seen anything about The Stepfather - whats it about?

I looked this up - I'm really looking forward to it actually, it looks a lot like a thriller - sort of 'Hand that rocks the cradle' plus Amber Heard (who is stunning and a brilliant actress is in it) and that guy from Gossip Girl is in it too - so even if it sucks there's eye candy LOL. But it should be good, anything's better than a re-make anyway.

The Stepfather is out on DVD and I saw it last night. I thought it was good, in a low key kind of way. I think the most disturbing part was when they showed the dead kids at the beginning of the movie, but other then that -good pace but the end was a little rushed. The thing with this movie is that it was not about the body count, more of the psychological playing with your mind type thing.

Yeah, I completley agree Dianne - I thought it was a good movie (very sad that it was based on true events as well) I loved the actors, although the g/f (Amber Heard - who I usually adore) - her character not believing him got on my nerves in the end. It was a good re-make though - I haven't seen the original properly, as it's rare to find, but yeah - a good movie - more psychological - it reminded me of the hand that rocks the cradle - or one of those movies where someones pretending to be good, like Single White Female too - I love those movies.
