Good afternoon!

Did anyone happen to see the Titian, Tintoretto, and Veronese Exhibit at Boston's MFA? I'd be curious to know what you thought. It's hard for me to go to those without purchasing every item in the gift shop afterwards!

I was very impressed with all of the works -- if you have only experienced Renaissance artwork in books and catalogs, you have no idea what you are missing. The detail and colors in the "live" works are something to behold.

I managed to purchase several postcards of works on display by Titan: two Venus' and one of Flora. Titian's Venus with a Mirrorhas to be one of my favorites. To see the difference that several decades make in the art is amazing. The treatment of the fabric and the hair in this work are stellar, and I like the way that he's portrayed her face reflected in the mirror.

Anyway -- the softcover exhibit catalog is now sold out. Time to check ebay. <grin>

If you have any thoughts about it - or managed to see it, I'd be interested in what your opinions. Have a great week!

Cheers,
Christine
