I also wanted to add, that what reassured me about having the procedure is I talked to some of my 'real life' friends and one told me she had the procedure done herself and loved the results, etc. For those of you with back aches, etc, was it confirmed by a doctor to be from Novasure or was it confirmed to be another medical issue going on? Seems like the posts were posted before seeing a doctor to confirm. I would assume that back pain could be related to many issues. For example a bladder infection or other medical conditions. Also, I told my anesthesiologist about my bad reaction (crazy dreams, nausea, etc) on a previous surgery anesthesia and was told they would not use that same type on me. They also said they would give me something to prevent he nausea. I don't know what they did differently, but I went out fine and came awake fine with no adverse effects. But everyone reacts differently to anesthesia which is not related to the novasure procedure.

I am scheduled to have the procedure preformed on Wensday. Less than 2 months ago I had a D&C and hystroscopy and the pain in my left side is unbearable. I can't sleep, eat, or take care of my children. I am 26 so my insurance is refusing to cover a hysterectomy. My problem is from endometrosis, but more from an emergency c-section that left enough scar tissue to make me have 2 D&C in less than 3 years. Is my dr even right will this help me at all. And with the numerous prescriptions that I have recieved for pain I am plain out scared to death! Is it really that bad?

Hi all...I am new here. I am 37 years old and I had the Novasure procedure June 30th, 2008. In May of this year, my periods started again...they weren't too bad but have continued to get heavier and heavier and this month, back to where they were when I got this procedure. Super plus tampon every hour and I have to double up with a overnight pad in case it overflows. I have called the dr. who tested my thyroid. TSH was normal. I have been told that my next option is a hyster. Has anyone had the same experiences?

There are women that have failed ablations but you should give it a couple more months to settle in to be sure it failed.I was told it takes a good 4 months to see end results. My period lighten after my novasure then started to get even lighter at the yr mark.

I had a the Novasure procedure done in June 2009. Over the past two months, I am experiencing extreme pain, no bleeding just abdominal pain. Are there any recommendations or preventive remedies that I can do to help reduce the pain.

I don't think you noticed my date...my period was gone for 11 months then came back...I guess I am in the small percentage of women who novasure doesn't work for. I also must add that I also belong to that percentage of women who get pregnant with an IUD ( baby #4 born March 2007)

hello all, I really need advice from you all. I had novasure done Feb 09. first two months I had light discharge and light cramps. Now from last two months I have water discharge and pain in left side of my back at all times. Like something in nots in lower back in left side. Pain was getting bad so I had an appointment with Dr. who was covering for my gynecology Doctor. He order ultra sound and cat scan and found 1 cm of endometrium accumulated in my utrus. He recommended hystrectomy. I told my regular gynecology dr. he did another ultra sound and said nothing is accumulated. He suggested to wait and see if my pain go away by time and also asked me to take birth control pills for next two months. I still have pain some days more than other. I should have never done this procedure. Could someone help me out and let me know if they had similar experiance and how did you resolved your pain. Thanks a bunch!! Kaushal
