Hello, This is lealabug. I have an idea for your tote. If you make a large circle and when it gets to about the size you need to completely cover him/her top to bottom, start decreasing so it will close up some and inclose nicely. Then make a strap wide enough to support him and maybe long enough to go over your head and then put your arm through it. Hand sew the strap on the bag. You wouldn't want the stiches to be too lose so her paws would go through. Good luck. I hope this helps.
