I work the nightshift so I drink a shake (1 net carb) every morning to satisfy me until I get home to eat a big breakfast. I eat the snack bar (2 net carbs) when I get up in the late afternoon to hold me till dinner. They both are pretty good especially the bars with peanuts/nougat and the peanut butter cups. Once you stop eating sugary foods you get used to it and the shakes and bars taste sweet. The only downfall is there expensive - but worth it.

If you search on lowcarb.bellaonline.com (the content website that goes with this forum) you'll find I've reviewed a ton of the Atkins bars and shakes over the years. I personally drink EAS shakes because I like their flavor better but Bob often drinks Atkins shakes. It all depends on which flavors you personally like.

I'm not a big breakfast fan in the morning so an EAS shake gets me the nutrients, protein, fiber I need for my body without making me "eat" something. It's definitely important for your body to get it some nutrients to work with when you wake up.

A single bar really shouldn't have that kind of an impact on your weight, it is more likely that you were perhaps less active? How your body acts on a given day is prone to ALL sorts of things. Heck, if your period is about to start you'll naturally gain weight. That's why weighing day to day really isn't helpful. You can only track trends over a week or two, to see if you're heading up or down long term.
