BellaOnline Forums Hobbies and Crafts Knitting We have added a tiny chihuahua coat pattern wanted

We have added a new member to our family a teeny tiny puppy of 8 weeks. This little chihuahua needs a sweater for those early morning yard visitations. His little chest has a measurement of only 9 inches. Ive gone to pattern central and many other sites but can't seem to find anything this tiny. I knit and I crochet, but am not talented enough to create something on my own. So if anyone has a pattern or knows of one they can share or can offer any help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

I went to amazon.com and found a bunch of books by searching knitting for dogs, perhaps your library has some of them?

For a temp sweater when my mini dachshund was a puppy we cut off a lilac knee sock and cut two arm slits and used that to keep her warm. I rolled the folded the cut end down so it looked like a folded turtle neck. Worked like a charm and was lovely...no one could tell it was a cut knee sock.
