Oh, yes, Lisa! The Siberian Iris is about as carefree and easy as they come. And, the grass-like foliage is so green and graceful all summer and fall, it makes a great backdrop for other plants. I�ve only had purple ones until I planted two �butter and sugar� (or so I thought) last fall. The other one just started to bloom and here it is�
Hmmm <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> , there seems to be a difference in the two irises. So I looked it up. My book says this one is �butter and sugar� and the first one is �king of kings�

I also planted a dogwood in the fall that was supposed to be a white Cherokee Princess, but it turned out to be a red Cherokee Chief. Oh well, I guess growers can surprise us just like Mother Nature.
But to me, the first Iris looks like a lot of sugar with a little butter, while the second resembles a lot of butter with a little sugar. Whatever, they�re both yummy � a �feast� for the eyes! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
