I am 4 weeks pregnant but I have been spotting for over a week now. I have no abdominal cramping. I also have no signs of pregnancy. Although I know I could be too early along to have symptoms. But I have researched miscarraige and almost all say spotting with abdominal pain/cramping. None say just spotting. I have not been to the doctor and dont have an appt till July 6th. Am I having a miscarraige?

Hi, i recently had a miscarraige in December after bleeding and having cramps. Go to your local Family Planning Clinic if you can't wait until your doctors appointment and they may refer you to the Early Pregnancy Unit to have blood test which can confirm your HCG levels and tell you whether you are still pregnant or not. It's a bit of hassle but if you can't wait, you'll get your answer there. Good luck in your pregnancy and i hope everything is ok.

Hey all, My husband and i were so excited since we got the blood tests from Kaiser confirming a positive prengnacy and they started booking out prenatal appts. I went to my frist appt and got all the paperwork and other appts booked. The doctor tried to do an ultra sound and couldn't see anything so sent me to the lab to get some blood tests and she called me later to advise the UcG levels were really low..46% and said she wanted me to do more blood tests to confirm that the levels were going up because that's what they were supposed to do. I went in after 4 days to do another blood test and was waiting for the results when the following morning i had started spotting. I called Kaiser and the advice nurse said that i could be having a miscariage and to go to the ER right away. At the ER they ran blood tests and confirmed the UcG levels had dropped down to 31% and that it most likely was a miscarriage. What hurt me was the nurse admitting me in was about 6-7 months pregnant. I couldn't stop crying. My husband was hurt and hoping for the best but i think he was holding it better than i was. Only a woman who goes through a miscariage regardless of the stage or month it happens knows the sorrow and pain it brings. There's no words of consolation or help anyone can offer to a grieving mother to be that's lost her child whether it be in the 1st week or the 9th month..IT MATTERS!!!!! The doctor released me advising that i will just bleed it out since i am only 3 weeks pregnant. I don't care what anyone says a miscarriage is the hardest thing a family especially the mother to be has to go through.

Hi. I think you need to get your hormonal levels checked out. If the levels are dropping then i would be concerned. I started spotting and i was only 3-4 weeks too and when they ran my blood tests my levels had dropped from 46 down to 31 so they confirmed my miscarriage. It's called a chemical pregnancy in my case.

Hi. I spotted for almost a week when I was pregnant with my daughter. I bled when I was pregnant with my son. I went to the Er. They told me I had a threatened miscarriage. I just recently a month ago lost my 3rd to a miscarriage. I start to spot light pink which within an hour was bright red then dark red and started to pass clots. So you could just be spotting old blood. I think you should go in to see your DR. just to make sure everything is going good. Good luck to you
