Eleise, thanks for sharing your story. It brought a giggle out of me for the first time since my son crossed on 06/18/09. Never heard of decongestant nasal sprays working for that type of remedy, but it makes sense. Benadryl after all is a decongestant, antihistimine. My home made remedy for bites, stings, burns, scrapes, etc... is Lavender essential oil. I keep a small bottle in the kitchen and one on my night stand, ready at any time for whatever. It's one of the few essential oils that can be applied full strength, and is especially effective on burns of any kind. I mix it with pure aloe gel for sunburn (only takes a few drops), and it really takes the burn away pronto. BTW, I love your pic. I feel drawn to it somehow, your beautiful smile and kind, knowing eyes. It somehow makes me feel more peaceful, and quiets the buzzing in my head. Thanks for that, and the laugh. I needed it. Victoria

Hi Victoria I'm so glad you are here!

You know, this will sound odd, but it's been raining here for eons. I don't do well without the sun. I start to think about all of the horror in life and what's the point. But for the last two days, something has been trying to jumpstart me & it really did feel like an urgent message to share the "fire ant" story. I didn't know (in public and as an editor) how graphic I could be, but I just had to take that risk and it's all true! Every last detail...

I've been working with a lot of people lately that have lost someone and lately as well, they've been coming through in my sleep. This hasn't happened in - like 10 years. One of them I'm going to post here, because they kept me up all last night.

Let me just pass this on...no matter how grey we're feeling, lost - gilted, angry with God, etc. Our loved one's never, not ever leave. In fact, it is very likely they're sitting on the edge of a bed or couch or simply smelling their favorite foods when we cook them.

((((all my hugs victoria))))
