Has anyone here ever had a D&C? I just found out I need to have one to remove a polyp. I've never had kids and am in my late 40's, married. I think I am pre-menopausal but the doctor found a polyp in my uterus from the last sonogram I had and wants me to have a D&C to remove it.

I am freaking out to put it mildly.

Sorry, I don't have any experience to share with you, but I am in the same boat as you. I have a uterine polyp and need to have a D&C to remove it as well.

I've never had polyps or cysts, but I can report that I've never had kids and have had a d&c. It wasn't bad at all. I HAVE had a Paragard IUD put in and I found that to be very painful. If you haven't had your procedure yet I hope this helps.
