Hi, forum users. I just want to put out an informal invitation to all of you - please get out and visit your local jazz and blues performers at their shows. Jazz and blues are interactive forms of music, best enjoyed in person rather than on a stereo.
Jazz and blues performers improvise most of their show, which means that your presence in the audience could influence the performer and change the way the show sounds. And being in the club gives you the chance to see the performers' faces and body language while they play - totally adding to the listening experience.
If you're not sure where to go to listen, do a Google search for your city, the current year, and the type of music you want to see (jazz/blues, etc). Call ahead, either to make a table reservation, or to check show times and admission prices.
Love jazz or blues? Get out and LIVE it!
Check out your local jazz and blues scene TODAY - there's absolutely nothing like a great show to soothe your soul.
