The past few months have been totally insane here. So many of my friends and family are in need, and I've been scrambling trying to help with all I can. I have some experience with writing and have been working on resumes, court replies, unemployment appeals, etc, while also doing some other things with my limited abilities.
I finally snapped this evening. My friend called to say her unemployment appeal deadline was not next week, but tomorrow. Today, actually, it's 4:45am and I've been at it for several hours, only to find she has no basis for appeal.
I feel like I'm engulfed by stupidity and ineptitude, and for some reason the scroll bar is not working and I can't even see what I'm typing. So please pardon the typos.
I'm completely drained, mentally, physically, emotionally. It's getting harder and harder to concentrate for any length of time. The frustration is mounting, and I finally exploded on my husband, saying "Next week I'm not doing anything for anyone, except myself." Knowing myself, I won't hold to this exclamation, as I still need to draft a power of attormey and lease agreement for a friend.
This is not merely a Rant and Rave, although downloading on the forum is very cathargic. What I do need are suggestions for quick recharging, as my time is so limited. My ususal options of getting out in nature, or going to the beach, are just not possible right now with all the things I need to complete.
Does anyone have a pshyic/positive energy 5 minute recharge that works? Any suggestions are most graciously appreciated!

icp -
The quickest recharge I know of has to do with nature. I want to get this out to you and can go into detail as to why but in short it's the energy re-aligning from nature that works.
There's all the nice cd's and books and deflecting etc. but for all it's worth and as quickly as you need it, nature. Sometimes I'll wash my face and hair and find the quickest tree/lake animals, plants, field, garden, park, anything and just go. It bothers me little i look like a street person when I do it. Whatever...
White t-shirt, cut off jean shorts and a clippy in the hair and everything falls into place. Both the face and hair washing enhance the experience. I will also grab a flower, wild or otherwise and take the scent in - i should mention i'll mutter to myself while I walk to wherever it is i'm going, lol.
I think I'll add on to this post but for now, i hope this helps.

What I was going to add on to on the above post has to do with your role. Maybe some of what I've been doing may help? I had/have similar experiences. My role is "helper/fixer" I'm addicted to helping someone who can't help themselves. But, over the past 3 years or so, since the economy has tanked, more and more people are becomming "verbal" about what's going on in their lives and giving to themselves even more leniency for their actions. I truly do want to offer support and help and with my husband's mother, I would listen, put my arm around her, dry the tears, offer support only to find out she had no basis for her arguement. She would be scared and insecure, but it was her actions and continued actions (to this day) that put her in her predicament & still do again and again. So yes, money is tight but "the economy" is being used as a distraction of actions. I have had friends and ex-husband who did the same. Now I know this and finally had it. I felt a bit used but I've learned as well. Some people can't help themselves and use the best in others to further their own illusion. In short - boundaries was what I had to focus on for myself. It pained me, as I want to offer help whenever I can because in the back of my mind it seems people are too busy to offer help of their own and I always try to see the good in others. I forget that a great deal of chaos is litterally the responsibility of the person that finds themselves there again and again. I really hope you do follow through on the same caring and comitting to yourself as you would for others. Frankly I wish more of us would. Each of us needs to be loved by ourselves as much as we project that love on to others. To this day I have to see myself as someone outside of me in order to ask myself, what would you do for this person (meaning me) if they came to you - do that We'r no good to others when we running on empty. ______________________________ Elleise Clairvoyance Editor

Icp, I agree with Elleise on getting back to Nature to rejuvenate and re-energize. Sitting on the ground, coming in direct contact with Grandmother and Mother Earth by touching it with my hands, picking up some soil, listening to the birds and animals, enjoying the sounds of brooks, creed, river or ocean - all these things help me to re-energize myself and it is like a first-aid kit for the psyche. When you are back to yourself, then you can make an offering to the six directions.
Get out that first-aid kit, Lady!

PS: I find lately that I have to do this routine quite often to rejuvenate, and it works!

Thanks for all the advice. Despite all the obligations, I allowed myself to commit too, I have been spending at least 1 hour outside each day. Shoes not allowed and I have the fire ant bites to confirm that.
My daughter is coming in tonight and we are going to the beach tomorrow. That will really help. I've also told just about everyone to leave me alone next week. The roofers are scheduled for Monday. It probably won't be relaxing with all the noise, but I can drown them out with the stereo, and dance around the house. That should work some things out!

((bravo))) icp!!! To make you feel better...A few years ago when I was up to my ears in stress, I went outside (no shoes allowed) and plopped down on the ground indian style. After about 7 minutes my tusch started to feel warm and then sting. Yup you gessed it, "fire ants." When I called the hospital, they kindly told me (in a small town) THEY don't have "fire ants" I kindly replied back that I have a souvinere to prove that they do! Happy 4th everyone!!! ______________________________________ Elleise Clairvoyance Editor Angel Therapy, Consultations & Courses

Please pardon my being off topic. Baking soda is the best remedy for fire ant bites. Make a paste and rub it on. Let it dry and it will neutralize the poison.

Icp, I have done that for fire ant bites, too. It really helps to take the sting out. I mix baking soda with a little sugar (sugar draws out the venom, or whatever that fire is, and the baking soda cools the bite and relaxes the nerve endings) then make a paste with water. It takes the "fire" out of the bite almost immediately.
I hope you and your daughter have a wonderful day at the beach and that you find the energy flowing back into you. Enjoy!

I wish I would have known that earlier. My rear was on fire - I'll never forget it. I grabbed anything and everything I could from the bottom medicine shelf and worked my way up. Ironically, my husband caught me mid shelf and asked what on earth I was doing? I had a nasal decongestant spray in my hand and I was laying over the bathroom sink like an airplane (yes God indeed has a sense of humor!!!) Anyway, instantly the pain was gone. I went to dollar general with a purchase of 12 bottles on the counter. The two clerks looked at eachother then at me..."Fire ants" They both said in unison, "Enough said..." _______________________ Elleise Clairvoyance Editor Angel Therapy, Consultations & Classes
