I should get some chick peas! Thanks for the idea!
I had a lovely salad today - salad mix, spinach mix, tomato, olives, pine nuts, cheese combo, ranch dressing.

Hi, this is my first day low carb and love it. haven't feel hungry at all! How you do your own sprouts? Also, can I fry the meat, like if I do chicken wings?

Welcome Carmen! And way to go!! ;) I'm only 2 weeks in myself. I assume you're asking about brussel sprouts? I was going to try this recipe next...
allrecipes.com/Recipe/Brussels-Sprouts-with-Mushrooms/Detail.aspx
Frying is ok but you should stay away from flour so...I guess wings would depend on how you cook them. ;) Oh...I think somewhere in Lisa's recipes, I read that she uses ground Almond "flour" for a crunchy chicken coating...but I'm not sure if that's baking or if it would work for frying as well? I actually got some today at Trader Joe's to try out. I'll let you know when I do.

And on the salad topic, I had mine cooked for allergy reasons. But I cut up two slices of bacon, fried them up and then started adding spinach, turning it with tongs as it started to melt. I added a tiny bit of salt and some red wine vinegar for an extra kick. Was pretty good! :)

That sounds great Granny! I'm still hesitating on avocados. I really need to start trying them.
I'm out of all lettuce / greens though! Time to go shopping! I'm even out of mayo so I can't have tuna fish the normal way (for me). I tried it with ranch dressing a few days ago and it was OK ...
