I'm rapidly approaching my wit's end. I have been buying various black opaque stockings and tights over the past few months, and have yet to find any that actually are really blockout black opaque. I don't know whether my legs are fat or if they're really long for my height, or if even 100 denier just doesn't cut it for my pale skin, but none of them are any good. They FEEL lovely, but as soon as they reach past my mid thighs, they become NON-opaque. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you solve it and who can recommend me some truly opaque tights?? - I don't want stockings as such. I want the more cotton or wool thicker feeling tights, like the old fashioned school uniform type tights, you know? - I also don't want leggings. They ARE opaque which is great, but I don't look as good wearing them as I do full length (incl. feet) tights.

Target!!!! Amazingly, they have tons and they're wonderful quality for no more than $5. They also have tons of leg warmers...very hot this season if you know how to wear them

Target?! I've been there and all they had is black opaque stockings (40-50 denier which is SEE-THROUGH on me!) and black tights, which were pretty much what I was after, but when I stretched them on my hand a bit, they looked a bit see-through as well. They didn't have any greys or anything either, sadly. Maybe I'll just give the blacks a whirl anyway...can't hurt I guess. I tried some grey tights I got from Temt (I think...or Valleygirl. Same thing really) and they're actually NOT see-through, but they are NOT my size despite it saying so. As soon as they get to the mid thigh, it's as if they say "Ok, that's it. This is as high as we're meant to go. I know we say we're ok for taller than 5'7" and you're only 5'7" but...too bad, chum" lol

Well, I tried the ones from Target. *sigh* No go. Not only are they totally see-through when on (over both calves and thighs), but they're also slightly shimmery/shiny. I want totally black MATT opaques! This is doing my head and wallet in, I tells ye!
