One of my favorite, favorite, favorite toys I had as a child was the Snoopy Snow Cone Machine! It just didn't get any better than being the official "Snow Cone Maker" for family and friends.

Any other fans?

Does your child have one now (or something similar)?

Awww Brandii, we had one of those! We just loved it. We were in the store yesterday and went by the isle with the snow cone making stuff and my grandaugher yells "MUMMY". We have 2 snow cone stands here in our little town and we have gone to one of them a couple of times and we walk by the other one in the evenings when we walk and last night she yelled "MUMMY" when we walked by. Mummy is used for the best foods! Connie

Hey Brandii, we were looking at those not too long ago but it wasn't Snoopy. And I'm thinking we will be done with this move in less than 2 weeks now and that might be a fun thing to have at the house for the kids..yeah, I think so!!

Can you still get Snoopy snow cone machines and where would you look for one. The machine I saw was either at BJ's or Walmart (no Snoopy but it looked like fun).

Thanks for the inspiration for a "cool" summer...haahaa, that was such a cheesy joke! smile

How far are you moving Sue? Lots of luck...putting everything just where you want it has got to be the worst part!

This time it's not cross country Connie like it was last summer (well, from Nebraska to New England) This time about an hour so not too bad. We have the 2 homes at the moment so it hasn't been an all at once move. We thought if we took a few months to go through things, paint walls, redo floors, set up rooms as we go that it would be easier.

So the one home is really starting to look great and this one is....hmmm....like camping inside with running water....haahaaa

Usually my moves have been one step. This way seems a bit drawn out but we are accomplishing so much that next week when this place is done, our home will be pretty cozy and functional for us all with most everything in it's place as we go, so we really like that part of it and then we'll work on the yard and do typical summer stuff....yay!!! We are sooo excited for next week!!

Thanks Connie for asking smile and is that your home in your photo? I love porches, it looks so cozy!

Hey Sue, yes it is my house. I love the arches, but there isn't room for much on that porch. I wish they would've copied the arches and porch on the other side of the house. I think it would have looked so nice. It was remodelled in the 30's.

LOL, camping with running water...so are you selling one of the houses? The longest move I ever made was Texas to Alabama. That was not fun! This last time it was about an hour and a half, but we did it all at one time and I am glad we did. We moved the day after Thanksgiving and it was beautiful weather.

I bet you will glad to be finally settled in.

I'm so happy to see other Snoopy Snow Cone Fans out there!

Connie, that's so cute about your granddaughter getting excited about the snow cone making ingredients at the store.

And Sue, great news--they DO still make it! Here's a link to it at Toys R Us:

Snoopy Snow Cone Machine

It does seem a bit smaller than I remembered it as a child. I used to think it was this HUGE snow cone machine, lol!

My other favorite cooking toy was the "Easy Bake Oven" smile

Connie, it's hard to tell from the photo but could you follow the lines of the porch to make a wrap around porch for more room? (20 bazillion dollars later!!!)

And when we moved here from Ne. it was hard to find a house from that far away over the summer and get here in time for school in August so we agreed that we would find a place where my son would be consistent for his upcoming 4 years of high school. So we have a HUGE 2nd floor apt. and are moving to a house.

I haven't been in an apartment for a very long time but it worked nicely and the couple that own the house with the apt. we get along wonderfully so it worked well for this past year.

And I think you may be right with the one shot move, I mean we got a lot of things nice and fresh at the house but the back and forth (even being an hour) is kid of taxing. So, yes, settled sounds lovely!!

Let me know if you add that wrap-around-porch smile smile

Brandii, went to the Snoopy link and it does look small but also fun! I think I might get one (yes because I'm being a good girl and getting rid of so much with the move that I really need to get more stuff right??!!) It's small though and it will be fun for the summer....great idea!!! smile

What kind of toppings do you use for your snow cones?

Sue, I could imagine my husband screaming now about how much that would cost and how I need to get xyz finished before I fix things that aren't broken! LOL, isn't that the way it always goes. He is one of those types that can't see the forest for the trees. Last time I tore something up getting ready to fix it he had a fit and said there wasn't anything wrong with that, but when I was finished he said we should've done that a long time ago.

I did love that easy bake oven and spent many hours baking little cakes for tea parties....boy I wish I could go back and have one of those tea parties with my sister again....
