Oh Elleise, how I wish you could have been with us a few years back for the Leonid Meteor shower. We got up at 2am and drove to the beach, hot coffee, blankets and chairs. It was unbelievable!!! They were falling everywhere and in every color of the rainbow. The sonic booms were deafening. One came in quite close (1000's of feet above us actually). Leaning back to watch as it streaked over our heads, we flipped our chairs over in the sand.

This meteor shower can be seen each November on the East Coast. That particular year was touted to be the best in thousands of years. I've frequently stayed up for the shower, as it's very close to my birthday. I will probably never experience anything like that again. Makes you wonder what else was going on up there, and where did all those rocks come from.

p.s. The Okefenokee was fantastic. Got to see my 1st Sandhill crane, but nothing unusual in the sky.

I am so there. I must have been undecisive, lol, when I came back this life time. I'm smack dab in the middle of everyone!

When I lived out in the Country, we use to put a blanket on the roof top during the meteor showers. It was so great! We had a little picnic and a bottle of wine...guard rails, lol so we didn't fal off. It was romantic and awe inspiring and you did, as you mentioned, wonder, what the heck else is going on up there. I felt a little nastalgic or home sick and very very small.

If you were to mix that w/an ocean, Elleise would have gone loco, never to return again. smile

What about people who claim to have lived on Venus e.g. (there are some)? Do you think it might be possible - as an astral being maybe?

I think there is no way possible we are alone. When you think of the size of the Universe we are merely one microscopic drop full of life among many more.

Mabe there isn't just one universe? Maybe there are more? The universe is expanding. So there must be some space into which it expands. So: what about this space? Or does that space come into exixtance only when - or because - our universe is expanding...?

Here is a thought:

What if those far distant and mystical lands we have been searching for for thousands of years (Atlantis, Lemuria, etc.), were never here on Earth? Wouldn't it be profound if they were actually civilizations on another planet?

That is something to ponder.

This is a great topic !!!!! I do not claim to know much about it but I remember an incident years ago that reminds me of humanitys apparent take on the subject. I have an elderly Norwegian friend who was telling me about her childhood. Her Grandmother was a mystic and a very magical person. The rest of the family was very negative about their mom. They did not understand her and upon her death bed her children kept everyone including the grandchildren away from her. It was a heartless thing to do but in such European families years ago there was a fear that such a "cursed" individual, as the ignorant would call it, could transfer such things to the next in line in the last hours of life. These people were not cursed at all. They, on the contrary were gifted- just very misunderstood. In any case my friend who was very young at that time knew that she must go into the room to see her dying Grandmother. The grandkids filed into her room but the parents held them back from going near her. My friend smiled at her and she did so back and in that twinkling was the next in line born into a spiritual life despite what the parents wanted. It was her path and now that she is older she understands its beauty and depth. This is an example of how we as a culture view other beings from "outside" of our scope of understanding. We would try to hold all others back because of fear. If such beings have tried to visit us to help us and we have been shielded from them out of fear there are other ways of communication. How absurdly pompous is a culture that assumes that we, on planet earth, are the alpha and the omega of this universe. What if there were cultures beyond ours that were really trying to help us individually and collectively? The things that truly benefit humanity will always stay hidden because of fear. That is until we remember that fear is man made and we can walk past it. Blessed Be

I couldn't agree more ancientflaxman. Witnessing how little control people have to this day regarding things outside of their realm of understanding clairifies to me anyway why other beings keep their distance. We still think telepathy is a big deal. BROTHER...if you can hear your internal thoughts others can have the ability to do so also. You just need a bit of training.

I've always felt if our culture were to come across a being from another universe, which there are millions of them, they wouldn't be able to contain themselves. They would first react in fear, grabbing a gun or what have you. I understand why a great deal of communication is done through thoughts and dreams. For now, it's safer. We don't even have a government that's on the same page.

In all honesty, I feel at this time we do have proof of other existences but that it is kept in secrecy. I believe before long we will have more proof than will be able to be covered and it will come through and by the people.

It feels we are an interest to other universes, not because of our intelligence...not quite...but because of the relevence our solar system has on other galaxies.

I often have dreams that I know are either past life or about people from another galaxy. There is one form of dream I often have about people who are so advanced and peaceful that it makes me feel wonderful after I visit with them.

I am sure there are other galaxies out there. How do you think the huge land images got there, you know, the large images of a man, and several others that can only be viewed from way up in the sky? Were they directions from explorers from space, letting their people who came after them know what to expect?

Has anyone ever read "Chariots Of The Gods" by Erich von Daniken? Fascinating book!

I'll bet my husband has. I'll have to ask him. What did you find moving about it?
