My mother just informed me that she is catering a wedding for a bride and groom that are 75 and 82 respectively!
I think that is one of the most wonderful things I have heard. It just proves that it is never too late to find love and that you are never too old to fall in love.

How beautiful Michelle! I absolutely and always stress to my clients that exact philosophy. No matter where you are in life, how old, young, big, small - love is always in the vacinity. You only need to be open to it. Wonderful comment - thank you for sharing it. ____________________________ Elleise Clairvoyance Editor Clairvoyance Site

My dad married for the 2nd time when he was 85 and his new wife was 86. I met my husband after 20 years of being alone and a single mum. We married when he was 51 and I was 48. We've been married 10 years now and it's the best 10 years of our lives.

Married four time but never found the right one. I'm not looking got use to living alone without the hassle of someone telling me what to do. I believe if your in a relationship you should contribute 50 percent each if not its better to be alone which you can reach 100 percent faster

I gave up looking. It is not worth my time. All the guys over 60 seem to be looking for that perfect, young, beautiful, atletic, slender, active, bubbly, expert conversalionlist, life of the party, cover-girl woman. Do they really think that a woman who has all that will fall for a guy that may drop dead while trying to climb Mt. Everest with them?
What ever happened to sincerety, honesty, dedication, joy, comfortable companionship, walking, picnicking, exploring old towns and new places, relaxing by a lake, sailing, or just sitting and enjoying the sunset - knowing that sometimes words are not needed?
Life is too short to spend my time looking for that man I can comfortably spend the rest of my life with because he is not out there, or if he is, he is not being honest about who he is, then I would not want him because he is not honest. I am happier spending my time doing what I have a passion for, writing, creating dolls, beading, all the fun things I can do without someone telling me when to do it.
Ok - I am over it now. Life is good with someone I can rely on - me.

Guess I was a little upset when I wrote that last post. I met a guy who I was becoming quite fond of and he asked me out to breakfast that morning. I was very anxious to see him again and get better acquainted. He brought his two dogs with him in the car! And they are not small dogs either. Every time I tried to talk with him, one of his dogs stuck it's head between us to get attention and he would talk to them. At least they could not go into the resturaunt with us. I was, needless to say, just a bit miffed and rattled about that. I do not think I will go out with him again. He said his dogs "go everywhere" with him. Didn't know he met on dates.

Oh Phyllis, I know what you mean about guys over 60! Pardon me for laughing about your date with the dogs, but you reminded me of a dinner date I had with one old man who was so stingy he left a quarter tip for the perfectly nice, capable waitress. I was embarassed because I didn't have my wallet with me or I would have slipped a few $$ under my plate. So I went back to the restaurant the next day and gave her the tip she earned and never went out with that old coot again. I've had the Love of my Life until he died almost 6 years ago, and I am so grateful that he was in my life for 20 years. I don't suppose that I could ever find quite that ideal a match again so I have decided to stop looking. Life is beautiful as it is, why mess it up?

"Life is beautiful as it is, why mess it up?" After going on a date with three dogs - I totally agree!
Thanks, Claybird.
There are some though who do find that right match and love in their elder years and it can be wonderful. It just is not there for me. I think I am happy just the way things are in my life.
