You had the same procedures that I had. I'm sorry you ended up with an infection. I hope you are on the mend and will be feeling back to yourself very soon.

As for the sex question - Follow your Dr.'s instructions. For me that was 2 weeks. A very long 2 weeks, LOL!

Hi SM64 thanks a lot and i hope i get there soon as well, being stuck at home off work and feeling a bit poorly is driving me a bit nuts to be honest. The reason the sex question came up was because i wasnt given any guide lines about when or when not to, i was also not told when it would be safe to start using tampons again. I had a look on a Novasure web site and it said something about not lifing or doing anything too strenuous for 6 weeks afterwards!.....did i miss read this or is it something else i wasnt told?..........phew this is hard work lol, i just dont want to slow up the healing process, ive already had a bit of a knock back. Im also dreading the next year now, it looks like everyone whos had this procedure starts to get cronic pain or retention of blood due to scarring as a forgone thing........ive had this done to get rid of cronic pain, heavy bleeding, clotting and severe aneamia! Please tell me that its not gonna happen to me!!! In the UK its a fight to get the treatment you need on the NHS, i couldnt go and say "right ive had enough of all this i want a hysterectomy" I was told nooooo to severe "try mirena" "try hormones" then "try Novasure".........even trying to get an appointment and this treatment has taken 7 years! 7 years of Mefenamic acid, Traxenamic acid, ferous sulphate for the aneamia and then when i broke my back 8 weeks ago painkillers that took me up to the merry number of 21 tablets a day!........i dont want to have to go back to taking all those tablets just to be able to leave the house............praying im one of the lucky ones, some of the women on here are living a nighmare and i can think of nothing worse than banking on a treatment to make you well and it does'nt work. By the way i am increasingly interested to learn from all the feedback on here that a lot of suffers have been sterilized!.....my problems started when i was in my 6th week after the sterlization, that was in 1995.......it all started with severe pain and i was told i was ovulating so many eggs they were trapped behind my tube clips, hence the pain, thats when Mefenamic acid was first given to me, interesting to see a lot of heavy periods seem to be the result of sterilization! Well im keeping my fingers crossed.......7th day today and ive got cramps tonight, hope its just the infection!
