Hope I am using the correct terminology here so bear with me. I only know how to burn or copy a CD for music (successly) (to me a cd is a cd but in reality there is DVD and CD and CD-R DVD-RW etc...I call them all CD's.

My mom is in a nursing home and my brother brought over a copy of a CD-R that has all my moms photos scanned on it of the family. It won't play on her DVD in her TV as is was saved as a data file. Is it possible to create another disc for her from this one abd if so how do I go about doing it. I have Roxio and Sonic also MOviemaker. I tried to burn it on Sonic using the slide show feature but it didn't copy all the files over as it only allows 99 photos. What would I need or need to do to successfully create the disc I want so it copies all the files on the one my brother made to a working disc in my moms DVD player.

Lisa ...I gave up after a while. Probably when I have time and nothing to do again I will pick it up and try to figure it out. I think it is in the CD format of the original. I think it was set up to play on Explorer and not alone like in a DVD player or TV etc.

1st. You need software to make Movie DVD out of those Still Images. If you have XP Or Vista they have one that will do more than 99.

Pretty Simple.

1. Need DVD Recorder on your PC. 3 Different types of Burners. DVD+R, DVD-R and ones that do both!

2. Buy Media for that Burner. Do not buy DVDRW. Buy DVD+R or -R (depends on your computer DVD Burner).

3. Use the Software by Loading the Images into the Progam. Ie while in the program load them into the Product. Finish it by burning into DVD.

XP has Movie Maker (search Movie Maker in SE)

Similar in Vista.

I prefer another program myself. Pro Gold Show

Of course I am retired TV Cameraman/Editor so it's what I used to do. Now ask me about Killing Plants.

ps. If you need Movie DVD and cannot figure it out. Email me and maby I can help. Or lv msg here. That CD won't play on most DVD Players. Another option is get player that does!
