I recently had my eyelashes done (popular in New York City) and loved it. I have been trying to replicate the process but the lashes end up looking horribly fake. Maybe I'm using the wrong type pf lashes or glue? Its just the kind in the package from the drugstore that comes with the glue.

I currently have permanent fake eyelashes.
What you need to know is generally you'll get 3 sizes to choose from small, medium, or large.. (or something similar)
NEVER get the longest ones. They are totally inappropriate for everyday wear (unless you're into looking like a drag queen)
Always stick to short or medium! ask for the ones that are just slightly longer than your natural lashes.. it will keep them looking natural with a bit of added length and alot of added thickness!

When I wore them, I used to do a little trimming to make them look more natural.

Kristen,if they are the strip lashes, it could be you need to trim the lashes before applying them. It could also be that yu got a style tha's unsuitable for you.

Permenant lashes last as long 60-90 days, your eyelashes are always growing. They need to be refillled about every two to three weeks.

Vishenda, I have to disagree with you about the longest lashes. I do lash extensions and it is a totally individual experience. You use a variety of sizes to make it look natural, glamour, cat eye etc.

Hi, here are the steps and some tips in putting fake eyelashes: Steps: 1. Get some re-usable eyelashes (usually sold in any stores like Eckerd or Macy's). 2. Make sure it comes with the glue and case, so you can preserve them. 3. Put the glue right above your natural eyelashes as you would eyeliner. (alternatively, you can put the glue on the base of the fake eyelashes and put them right above your natural eyelashes.) 4. Put the fake eyelashes exactly on the glue. 5. Press the fake eyelashes down onto your natural ones. Tips * If you want a more natural look, get small black ones. * Use a magnifying mirror for ease in application. * Put on makeup the same as you would every day. Hope these are useful for you! :)
