Good morning, girlies. Has anyone seen the wagon? I am still eating party food over here. Bad, bad. Laura, what kind of exercise are you planning on doing? Back in the day, I was 'into' it. Now, not so much. :( I need the energy that exercise gives you, but I don't have the energy to get started. Ugh. Janis, I loved hearing about Hayley's first drive. *heart* That sounds like a memory you will both keep forever. Are you still watching Idol? My DD is SO into it this year. She kept the phone going for over an hour last night! Lynne, what have you got going on today? I'm probably going to take DD to see a movie or two this week, but other than that, no big plans.

Good morning ladies! :) Laura, I'm not an exercise lover, either. I wish I loved exercise as much as I love taco's, but sadly, that is not the case! I do find, however, that when I have to go shopping at Wal Mart, I tend to walk as much as possible...which is easy to do since the store is enormous...but I do enjoying getting in all that walking. Just wish there weren't so many people in my way! ;) Brenda, so good to hear from you. I'm glad you survived the tween party. 10 girls??? Oh my! I think I've got it bad when there are 4 of them! *laughs* Hayley wants to have another sleep over during Easter vacation and they're all going to sleep outside in a tent. I think I mentioned this already. I'm not especially looking forward to it since my window will be right next to them all night, but I know they'll have fun. They want to rent some scary movies, so I think I'll have a good time scaring them! :D My favorite Idol is Kris...the guy who sang last last night. He sang one of my favorite songs...Ain't No Sunshine when she's gone...only darkness everyday...ain't no sunshine when she's gone and she's always gone too long, anytime she goes away. Loved it, loved it, loved it! It was the first time I called in this season! I also really liked the guy who sang You Found Me by The Fray. I don't know what the judges heard, but I thought he did a great job! This season is starting to grow on me now. It was a rocky start for me, but then...I compare every season to the season where Bo Bice and Constantine were on. That was by far the best season ever for me. I loved those 2 rockers dueling it out. Made the show so exciting! :D Yes, as you might have guessed...I'm a throw back to the hippy look. I love and have always loved long haired guys. I can't help it. It's got to be something in my make-up because long haired guys have turned my head for as long as I can remember. My daughter says I'm sick! *hysterics* Alright, I've got to get ready for work now or I'm going to be late! Talk to you lovely ladies later on. Have a good day!

Janis, you made me LOL with your love for long haired guys. :) I like Adam's voice a lot but just can't get past his look or his lifestyle. The Bo season was my fave too, but for me it was Carrie. I loved her. :) That's cool that you guys get an Easter break. Our break is this week. My DD wouldn't make it outside in the dark for 10 minutes. :)

Good morning ladies! :D It was an extremely LONG day yesterday! I was up at 6, out of the house by 10 and didn't get home until 9 o'clock! *eek* Today after work, I'm going over to my friends house so we can work on our Bible study together and then we might go get something to eat. Brenda, I love Carrie, too. Boy, she just keeps coming out with one hit after another! She is a total class act! I feel the same way about Adam. I was looking at him last night and I noticed those black hand glove things he was wearing and his black nail polish and I just thought...yuck! To me, that is not a rocker. I about had a fit when they compared him to Steven Tyler! I started yelling, "Don't you dare compare those two!!!" I've always had a crush on Steven Tyler. I know, I know...my friend thinks he's disgusting and she thinks I'm out of my mind, but the guy has got stage presence and there's just something about him. Anyway, a true rocker to me has long hair and I don't like this painted peacock look of Adam's. :D So where is Laura, Stephanie and Lynne? What are you guys up to? I've got to get going and make myself a sandwich for work. Hope you all are having a good day so far. I'm trying my best to stay on the wagon, but everytime the wagon goes by a taco stand, I get bumped off. Sorry to say, my friend and I will probably go out for Mexican food tonight. You know that commercial where that lady is on her way home and a chef, a chicken and a man carrying a plate of taco's starts chasing her? Well, let me tell you, that actually happens to me all the time! I've had that taco man chase after me more times than I can count. He really ought to be arrested!

Hi girls! I'm sorry I've been missing. I sat down yesterday to start a post and then got side-tracked. But besides that I've got an infected tooth, and I've had a pretty high fever so I haven't felt that well. I went to the dentist today and am now on an anti-biotic. This is the same tooth that acted up a while back if you remember that. I am also pizzed that the dentist says I have to have 2 of my root canals redone. You know what I told her? Everytime I have a root canal done I end up having to have it redone. You know what? I am DONE with root canals! Find another alternative for me because I.ain't.doin'.it! And she said both my bridges are "failing". Good grief! There isn't a darn thing wrong with them! I HATE, HATE, HATE dentists! Almost as much as I hate doctors. Brenda, *when* I finally get my butt back into a routine, it will be walking/weights/Thigh Master, and sit ups. It's what I used to do and it sure worked well. I felt sooooo much better when I was working out. But it is indeed a vicious circle. You stop exercising, and then before you know it you feel so darn lousy that you can't get yourself to start up again. And it's so ironic because it's what you need more than anything. DOH! Janis, guess what is starting back up next week? The Deadliest Catch! Yeee hawww! I saw the guys on Fox and Friends one morning talking about it. How did your bible study go? I asked you before but if you answered I missed it, but, what are you guys studying? I am LOL about you getting chased down by "taco man"! LOL! Lately I've been low-carbing and it really has curbed the cravings. I guess I just get to a point where I am *sick to death* of having food control ME. *I* want to be the one in control! Really most the time I am really reasonable with what I eat, so, it's really the non-exercise that is killin' me.

I am LOL that this site censored the word "but" - with the other "t" added that is. *grin* Forgot to say HI! to Stephanie and Lynne. Don't be strangers girls! Stephanie, I hope your dad and your family, and YOU are doing ok! Lynne, what do you have planned for this weekend? Do you have to work? Anybody gonna cook anything *fabulous* this weekend? Brenda, forgot to mention, I'm glad you survived the sleepover. It's quite an experience isn't it? FUN, but oh-so exhausting!

Hello girls,
I've been keeping up with you but I haven't feslt very talkative. Not so good for a writer. smile I've been working hard and trying to catch up on home paper work and organization.

Tomorrow DH and I will be visiting his parents for the day. They are about 2 and half hours from here. Sunday I'm working at the coffee bar so sometime after 12 noon, I can start relaxing I hope.

I'm still having sleep overs at my house. My grandaughters love to bring their friends over and spend the night. Sometimes there are two, sometimes there are five girls spending the night.

Hi girlies. :) I hope you are all well this morning. The sun is shining beautifully here and everything is so fresh and green. Ah, spring. But snow showers are forecast for next week. That's spring in Ky. Janis, long live taco man! :) Mexican is my favorite food of all time. I made Alton Brown's guacamole (sp?) dip a couple of weekends ago and it was fab-O. Since DD is on Spring Break this week, I have eaten way too much. I overcooked for her party (lots of snacky type things) and we (ok, mostly me) have been eating on that for a few days. I am a SUCKER for snacky type things. I am going back on the wagon Monday and it's gonna hurt. LOL You have been so dedicated with your Bible study. I am really proud of you. *hugs* I am not reading nearly enough right now. I have to really watch myself or I get hit with the whole B.U.S.Y. (Being Under satan's Yoke) thing. It aint good. Laura, I'm sorry about your tooth. DH just had some repair work done this past week. My nephew is enrolling in dental school next semester and I keep telling him people are going to hate him. LOL Feel better, buddy. *hugs* I'm LOL about your censored comment. When I read your first post, I thought you put the word 'censcored' in yourself. :) Lynne, I sometimes get 'non-talkative' too. I have never really thought of myself as a quiet person, but I can be at times. Now, get to chattin', girlie. LOL

Good Saturday morning, ladies. *waves* Laura, you asked me once before about the Bible study and I'm sorry I didn't answer you. I have a tendency to forget very easily! We are studying Moses and it's been a really good study so far. Right now we've finished up Numbers and we'll be starting on Deuteronomy. This last lesson was very hard and my friend and I were confused through most of it. The questions seemed much harder than normal for some reason. Maybe, though, it was just some fatigue on my part. I haven't been feeling very well for the past 5 days. I've felt like I was on the verge of a full-blown panic attack at any given minute and I don't know why. I feel good today and will take advantage of being able to take it easy. I stopped by the Dr.'s office yesterday to have my blood pressure checked and it was 142/62. I don't like the difference in the two numbers, so I'll be going back to the Dr. on Monday to get it checked again. There's a lot of different stuff going on in my life right now and that maybe why my pressure is up a little. I'll be happy when tax season is over! Sorry to hear you've got an infected tooth. That is no fun! And my mom has had to many root canal's that she feels the same as you. She doesn't want to have to endure another one! However, she's never had to have a root canal done over. I would cite the blame for that on your dentist's know-how. There shouldn't be a need to have that redone! My friend fell when she was a little girl and knocked out her 2 front teeth. Her dentist back then put in some posts and capped those teeth. For the next 30 years, she had no trouble with those teeth at all. Then one day, one of the caps fell off. So she went to her current dentist and he ordered new caps and put in new posts. Well, her teeth kept popping out! She was horrified because she was at the store talking to the check stand girl when all of the sudden, she spit out her two front teeth. And this kept happening! Anyway, I hope you get it straightened out. As for our dinner...I think we're having homemade eggrolls and flied lice for dinner tonight and tomorrow night, I'd like to BBQ some t-bones! Yum!!! Hey, I can hardly wait for Deadliest Catch to start! Yay!!! Lynne, I think that is so sweet that your granddaughter brings her little friends over to your home for sleep overs. What a cool grandma you must be! That right there speaks volumes about you. You must be one of those fun grandma's, too. :D Sounds like you've got a full weekend. Hope you find some quiet time to relax. Brenda, the taco man chased me down 2 days in a row! Thursday, my friend and I went out for Mexican food, and then I gave Hayley her pick as to where she wanted to eat last night, and she picked Mexican food. *laughing* I brought home a good portion of my chili colorado burrito and I'm planning on eating it pretty soon. :D Boy, it was good! We had some clouds yesterday and a beautiful cool breeze, but today the sun is out. I actually want to hold on to the clouds as long as possible before our scorcher of a summer begins. Come May, I will be one miserable girl! I tried to get Hayley to go to a swap meet with me this morning, but she wants to kick back and play her playstation. I guess that means I can work on laundry. :D Stephanie, where are you, girlie? Have you forgotten about us? I hope everyone has a very blessed Saturday. I'll talk to you all later. (((hugs)))

Hey girls! Lynne, sounds like a fun weekend for you! What coffee bar do you work at? Is it a business you own? (Just call me NOSEY! *grin* ) I can't WAIT for grandchildren! DD is 23 and DS only 20 though, so I might be waiting a while. How fun for you to have sleepovers with the little gigglers. I bet they love it so much too! Janis, I think you did tell me before that it was Moses, and I completely forgot. DOH! Forget the differential, your blood pressure is WAY TOO HIGH Janis! You know that is the number 1 killer of people right? The silent damage it does is just tremendous. I was watching a Medical Examiner show last night and a 41 year old man died because his high B.P. wore out his heart. It enlarged and was too inefficient to pump. He died on vacation to Disney World. You can imagine his family's heartbreak! Mine is only 116/80. It is still a little high on the diastolic, (bottom number)which is the resting rate. We had a busy day. We window shopped for patio furniture, ( I think we've finally picked something out,) and new livingroom furniture. I think we've finally got that picked out too. It's funny, because my "old" livingroom furniture is 10 years old, but it is like brand new. We really only used it on Christmas or "here and there". It's really pretty, but I want completely different colors in there, so I want something new. When we get the new stuff I will give the "old" set to DD. If she doesn't want it, then maybe we will make one room a nice office. The tables are cherry so they would match DH's computer desk quite nicely. Maybe we could sell it too, but I really don't want to. It's Broyhill, so it's really high quality and I still like it. Brenda, I am LOL about you eating all your little party snacks! Did you ever see the movie "Mermaids" with Cher and Winona Ryder? Very cute movie. In it Cher plays a really flaky mom (to teenager Winona and little sis,) who *only* makes appetizers for their food all the time. I thought it was hilarious! You reminded me of that movie when you mentioned all your snacks. LOL! I am still low-carbing and doin' good. We went out for Chinese food today, at our favorite buffet so I did good there. So much meat and green veges to choose from. It's one of my favorite places to go when low-carbing. Don't know if I'll low-carb tomorrow, but for SURE I will be back to "normal" low CAL eating on Monday, so I will be hitting that wagon with you! *high five* Janis, forgot to mention... guess what I found in the back of my fridge tonight? ( I had caffeine at lunch so came home and cleaned the fridge! DOH! ) I found your steak marinade. SORRY I forgot about it, but guess what? It smells FINE. Actually it smells veddy, veddy YUMMY! Soooooo, I found it too late to defrost some steaks to use it overnight tonight, but I will definitely marinade tomorrow night for Monday's meal. YUMMO! I can't wait to taste it! Ok, it is almost 12:30 am here so I am going to *attempt* to get some sleep. We are planning on going to church tomorrow, but not sure I will make it! OY.
