I wonder what is color is hot for this year... haven't heard much people talking about it. Can everyone share what it is that you think is 2009's most in demand color? ;)

According to Pantone, it's going to be Mimosa yellow.
Here is what they say:

A warm, engaging yellow, as the color of the year for 2009. In a time of economic uncertainty and political change, optimism is paramount and no other color expresses hope and reassurance more than yellow.
"The color yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance," explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. "Mimosa also speaks to enlightenment, as it is a hue that sparks imagination and innovation."

So I guess we will be wearing a lot of Citrine and Amber jewelry, which are both fabulous gemstones to wear.

Well, brights are really in at the moment. Bright green is also coming in and it was dominating the shops I walked past today to get to the salon. Fashion here is changing so quickly, it's hard to keep up with it all. I havent seen Mimosa around at all.Thats interesting

I've been seeing a lot of people wearing hot pink but carrying yellow purses...not necessarily on the same person :) Other bright colors are all around, but those are the two I see more than others.

I grew up with Mimosa trees and they were a shade of pink.. Mimosa serves as a warm color that expresses hope and reassurance. This color looks like baby puke and a trip back to the 60's.Thank you, very much.!!!!!
