I just heard that my favourite artist Lhasa is to release a new self titled album on April 21st 2009! She is from Montreal although her lyrics reach a much more international scope.
She sings an array of folk, gospel, country and blues all mended into one abstract sound that is uniquely her own.
The single titled Rising is a beautiful collaboration of piano melody and emotional lyrics. I urge you to take a listen to her music on her myspace page, you will certainly fall in love.
