This Bike is a Pipe Bomb

The band gives out stickers and encourages its followers to put the stickers on bikes. Which then causes police to think the threat is real and spend their time and energy destroying these bikes in safe ways.

They just cleared out an entire terminal in Memphis because of one of these bikes.

To me this is like yelling fire in a crowded movie theater ...

You are so right, Lisa. In this day and age, things like that should be taken seriously because you never know when some idiot will actually make a bike into a pipe bomb.

During the months after the Columbine tragedy, my son was on the school bus heading to school and the previous night, he had watched the movie "Speed" with Keaneau Reeves and when he mimicked a line in the movie: "There's a bomb on the bus" to one of his friends, the bus driver brought him into the principal's office, the police were called and they had a long talk with him about saying things like that. He was scared and thought he was going to get arrested.

It's funny, that a couple of weeks after this thread started, there was an episode of Patrick Swayze's new show, "The Beast", used a bike as a bomb that was sitting next to a dumpster.

I had to laugh when I saw the episode because I immediately thought of this thread. lol.
