The Agatha Awards were named for Agatha Christie, the best-selling mystery author of all time.
The 2008 award nominees have been announced and will be voted on at the Malice Domestic convention in the Washington, D.C. area May 1-3, 2009. Described as an annual "fun fan" convention, attendees will vote for their favorites by secret ballot.
Past winners of this prestigious award include Phyllis A. Whitney, Mary Stewart, Dick Francis, and Tony Hillerman.
