Hi! As the new Rubber Art Stamping Editor I would like to get to know everyone who visits the site. I think we could strike up some great friendships here with a little explanation of who we are with what we already have in common.

I have always loved crafting. My mother taught me how to embroider when I was about 7. She was trying to distract me from the constant itching of my chicken pox. I loved the way the threads felt and looked on the fabric, and the rest is history. I could not get enough. Making things myself became a lifelong passion, with rubber stamping, card making, scrapbooking, and jewelry making right at the top of the list. I am a very tactile and visual person, so almost everything I make has some textural elements.

I worked as a Frame Shop Manager at a multi-national big box craft retailer, and was frequently called to many other departments to give customer help with many different arts and crafts since I have some knowledge in most of them. It is a very fun and rewarding job which I looked forward to most days.

I have a husband, 3 kids, two boys and a girl (20, 15, and 11 respectively), a dog and a cat. They keep me extremely busy, but I wouldn't miss a minute of it.

I also teach classes in some of the various forms of jewelry making techniques, rubber-stamping, card making, and scrap-booking, as well as attend various festivals and art shows with my jewelry.

Well, that's me in a nutshell, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!!

Hi there, my name is Eva and I just started to stamp so I look forward to seeing all the different ways to use them. Right now my only resources for immediate stamps and inks are Walmart and a little gift shop so I am kinda limited. So far I made a couple of cards and gift bags, went a little crazy with the gift bags but it is alot of fun.

Hi Eva! Great to have you here. Sounds like you are well on the path to stamp addiction already! Walmart is a good place to get a few basic stamps and ink pads. There are also some good online sites that sell nothing but stamps and accessories. I will have some links to these sites posted soon. Also if you get to a town that has a Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Joanne's, etc. They have some great stamps and accessories as well. Also, always be sure to try and seek out independent stamp shops, as they have some wonderful products you will not find in the chain stores as well as employees that are there because of their love of stamping. They will be a wealth of information for you and can show you how to do some of the different techniques you are interested in and point you in the right direction as far as what products will be of the best use for you on any given project.

Hi, I'm new to this site. I am a SAHM to 3 boys: Robby (4/06), and Johnathan & Matthew ( micro-preemie twins born 3-1/2 months early on 3/5/08). Rough start but they are doing well for their circumstances. I am a scrapbooker/rubber-stamper and I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I enjoy other crafts as well. Don't get to do as much as I'd like with my little guys keeping me busy. But as things are settling down with the twins (not as many dr appts, etc), I am trying to get going again with everything. Anyway, just thought I'd say Hi! Rita
