It's sad that you can joke so calously about the deaths of babies. Your heart must be hard.

Dave, as usual, you don't have any data or proof of your position. Your callous and righteous condemnation of women who support the right to choose as being "hard hearted" is not acceptable and not Christian!

I don't know any woman who has had an abortion who hasn't agonized over it before she had it and who hasn't been haunted by it afterwards.

You'll never get pregnant, so you'll never need to make the decision (and aren't you happy about that).

So, to use one of your favorite phrases, Dave, "put your money where your mouth is." Stop your pious spouting in a women's forum, and do something constructive with your concern for the unborn. Rather than ranting about abortion here, why don't you:

* Practice birth control in your own life and encourage your children to do the same. This means that the male partner must use a condom.

* Speak out to strongly encourage men and boys to do their part (those women don't get pregnant by themselves) by using condoms - EVERY TIME - unless they are willing to accept responsibility for the child and the mother.

* Make sure that medical insurance companies fund birth control for the women who need it (as they do for men who "need" Viagra, et al).

* Make sure that federal funding for birth control is available to the women who need it (as it is for men who "need" Viagra, et al).

* Make sure that states don't pass laws to make birth control less available for women.

* Support birth control measures and the clinics, hospitals, doctors, and other people who provide them.

So, YOU can do something constructive to make abortion less necessary.

Regardless of the spin put out by your side, Dave, no one is really "pro-abortion." An abortion is a tragedy in so many ways. But, no one - **NO ONE PERSON and NO GOVERNMENT** - should take away a woman's right to decide whether or not to have a safe and legal abortion!!

MUCH BETTER to make abortion unnecessary than to condem countless women and children to lives of poverty and desperation.

Unfortantely these aren't facts, in fact, it's just the opposite. The administration did lie about WMD, and Saddam was NOT capable of harming us. We have now given Iraq to Iran on a silver platter. Iraq is lost. It's a done deal.

The UN Inspectors did NOT agree and were not permitted to carry out their job and needed more time. The CIA stated that there wasn't enough evidence of WMD in Iraq. The administration cherry picked intelligence and then when they didn't find what they wanted, they blammed and outted the CIA. You need to read up on the World Trade Center bombing. WMD were NOT smuggled out to Syria. Everything that you've written has turned out to be totally unfounded and not true and was just more Right-wing propaganda. The hunt for WMD officially came to end in Demember 2004, straight after the November 2004 election. They are no longer looking for them because they DO NOT EXIST, and NEVER EXISTED TO BEGIN WITH.

Fact, Saudi Arabia funded the terrorists and the terrorism that cause 9/11. Fact, we still allow them into the United States and we WILL NOT go after them because they will cut off our oil supply. Fact, Osama bin Laden got away scot free.

The Right-wing hid all information it had regarding Iraq from the Senate and the House for "security reasons" and gave them instead a written run-down of what they found. The took all resources the US had aimed at Iran and shifted it to Iraq from the moment they took office. That was a brilliant idea, wasn't it? The documents they used to justify the Iraq war turned out to be forgeries and the administation KNEW this. Anyone with three brain cells could tell that. You have been lied to beyond belief, and most people who have a real handle on what actually went on and who actually did what understand how this war happened. It's over though, and there's no winning. It's a lost, period. You give democracy to the Iraqis and they've already voted against us and have no sided with Iran. You cannot Western people against their will, and the Middle-East is not a joke.

An embryo is not a baby and the body rejects and flushes out embryo all the time. The right hates all form of life outside of a woman's body. Why do they care? They want to control women.

Thought you might want some updates on the WMD issue. Recent articles published from declassified documents show over 500 instances where WMDs were found in Iraq after the invasion. The administration stayed mum about it to protect its own soldiers until they felt comfortable they had found them all. Apparently, there are audiotapes from Saddam's cabinet meetings prior to the war in which he personally spoke of moving WMDs out of the country to their closest ally, Syria, aboard converted commercial jets ( for camouflage). Some of these weapons got inadvertantly left behind and the administration did not want to make public their discovery ,until now, for fear of the insurgents finding some before the military did. They did not want chemical roadside bombs going off. Apparently, the democrats unwittingly helped in hiding these discoveries by constantly harping on the, " No WMDs" bandwagon and actually deterring the insurgents from finding them before us! Way to go Bush!

Texas Dave, GWB will attempt to convince the nation that all is going well in Iraq and soon that country will be stable. Every small accomplishment, like an election, or a day without casualities, and he brags like a true Texan. Why hasn't he come out crowing about all of your evidence about WMD? Has he suddenly become self effacing and modest? His presidency is in such deep do-do that the discovery of WMD would help his poor poll numbers. And he's (and is Karl Rove)the kind of a person who will use anything to help his reputation.

In response to Tex Dave's question, What did Bush lie about? Bush lied about Saddam seeking yellow cake uranium from Kenya in order to make a nuclear bomb. He outed Joe Wilson's wife because Joe said that Bush lied about the kenyan episode. Bush paid journalists hundreds of thousands of dollars to write articles that were favourable to the neo cons, but were supposed to be "objective." Bush lied about some alliance between Saddam and Al Quieda. A senate committee just issued a report saying that no such alliance existed. But Bush still says it. During the Rep primary, Bush claimed that his opponent, John McCain had fathered a black child and also that McCain had broken under torture by the north Vietnamese, and spilled the beans on his fellow POWs. Now, as a true Texan, up on all of local politics, you must know the lies that little Georgie told when he was running for Governor. OH, I'M SORRY, I plumb forgot. Bush didn't know anything about all of these lies. Karl Rove and Dick Chaney and all of the other people who ran Bush's campaign never told him what they were doing! Giggles, Giggles.

Amen to that! Thank goodness the American people voted Barack Obama our 44th President of the United States - people who are pro-life as well as pro-choice; people who thought they would vote Republican for the rest of their lives but who just could not risk leaving the USA to the mercy of greedy, fiscally irresponsible and devisive so-called conservatives and Wall Street wheeler dealers who have no ethics to guide them or conscience to turn them from devastating hard-working middle class families, the environment, healthcare, small business owners, and just about everyone else but themselves.

Well, the nation might look like it has been completely wrecked by 8 years of a Republican administration, but on November 4th we called in the ambulances and tow truck; on January 20th a team of experts will take the first steps in healing the passengers and putting that wreck together so we can get back out on the road to a better future.

Don't be distracted by manufactured drama, whiners and complainers. We have a lot of work to do in our neighborhoods and states, in our country and around the world, to heal the wounds inflicted on our image and history and to get us moving in a healthy direction.

Barack Obama will be the President of the United States in ten days. Contact your legislators and let them know that we voted for him because we believe he is smart enough to get us through these terrible times and to rebuild our middle class. Those hardworking souls living in poverty and those hardworking heroes who have lost their jobs, savings and businesses have been giving up too much to make millionaires into billionaires.

Our troops fighting to protect the American way of life deserve to have access to that American dream when they return home; those who are injured deserve the best medical care; they should find the best opportunities for their children's educational opportunities and their family's future.

Every single vote for Barack Obama kindled hope for those of us who have been overwhelmed by the disastrous policies that created the storm of crisis situations pounding us into the ground. Just wait until we get our feet under us again and can move forward to the better America we know our families deserve.

Look forward and let's get moving past irrelevant sniping.

Hang in there!

Awwwww.... Politicians lie...cheat...and steal if they can get away with it. Both parties are two sides of the same coin. They just differ in whether they pander to the rich only OR throw a few bones to the lower classes.... People like me vote for the lesser of two evils....and if one party screws up....then we are not shocked if the people vote to give the other party a chance. Having said that, I am an American and want my President (of either party) and Country to do well! I am a moderate Democrat...much closer to moderate Republicans than wing nuts of either side. I am a moderate in most things from religion...to free markets...to social programs (horrors, so-called socialism)...to almost everything else. While this is not a post on abortion....I have given up....trying to convince pro-lifers that abortion goes on anyway, legal or not. Safe, clean, cheaper legal abortions "kill" unborn babies....and often unsafe, dirty, expensive illegal abortions "kill" unborn babies AND can maim and kill women. ****** My religious, married, Catholic grandmother had THREE illegal abortions for economic (only) reasons....and little ol' pro-choice semi-heathen me never had one (now unwanted pregnancy is not a problem). Gotta love Jindal for putting his foot in his mouth for saying that volcano monitoring is a waste of money.... I would love to see him and Palin go head to head on the merits of volcano vs hurriance monitoring... Sad to say, Jindal's rebuttal speech started off so nice....at least for 2 1/2 mintues.... (Yes, I know of plenty of bloopers by both sides....)
