I've just recently started playing the blitzball part of FFX, even though im at the end of the game hehe. But i have noticed that there are a few people that are free agents throughout the world that when signed are some of the best, for instance.

Brother-piloting the airship-this guy is freaking mean he is by far my best offensive player.

Naida-right after getting off shoopuf before you get to Rikku on a bench-this chick is by far the best center i have ever seen, she has the best blocking and passing, speed endurance and attack. just no shooting, but hey she can pass it on to the better people.

Miyu-forgot..sorry-By far the BEST GOALIE there is to find, hands down.

Anyone else know of cool blitzball players that just whip up on everyone else???

O yah just for general final fantasy knowledge, you can also recruit Biggs (a name common to the rest of the series) guarding the stadium on the left. His EN and SH is good but since he is lvl 1 player im leaving him alone, but others just starting might wanna grab him.

Well Brother is me all-time star he;s like level 75 or so with a speed of 102 or so <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> ... and further I've got Tidus as LF he has a shot of like 60 and I've got Wakka (also available in the airship)he can learn aurochs spirit wich 'll let all the shooting [censored] combine into one powerfull shot or sometin' and I've got Jumal as a keeper he's found in Luca on a bench best keeper around and the 2 defenders I've got are very bad I don't use em <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> ... and I win every game with like 12-0 <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Some good players can be found right off of the other teams' rosters. Bickson and Graav (both from the goers) aren't too bad. Those are the only players off of other teams that I use, but if you see a free agent, the ORIGINAL team members of these teams can be found at these locations: Glories- various locations throughout Guadosalam, Goers- at Luca, on one of the docks, in a big clump, Beasts- haven't found them yet, though I don't remember if I looked in Kilika, though I think I did, but that's besides the point; all of their players suck amyway, Fangs- on a dock near the Goers, like 1 or 2 to the right, Psyches- on the airship somewhere. Also you can recruit Rin on the airship, Shammi somewhere in Luca, and Naida appeared in the shop in the little camp in the Calm Lands for me.

oh and Wedge, he stands on the other side of the gate next to Biggs. I have also seen Zalitz and Mep, though the other teams recruited him first, so I have no clue where to find them.

ok....this is gonna be long and detailed and probably in 2 parts cause i only know like 10 of the location of hand of the players.....me personaly my blitzball record is like 55-4 and i got the 4 loses learning how to play....newho like most players I drop and pick up normally(only if its a good up) my team set up is as follows
LF-Blappa(al-bhed)
RF-Graav(luca goer)
MF-Tidus(you)
LD-Lakkam(al-bhed)
RD-Balgerda(luca goer)
GL-Miyu(free agent located on the north wharf of the Moonflow on the way to Guadosalam)
I'm playing my game from the airship right before you go to fight sin and here are the locations of teams as far as my game goes.
Ronso Fangs and Luca Goers team members' located at the Luca Stadium by going around either the right(ronso) or left(luca)....the Guado Glories are located in Guadosalam...the Kilika Beast are located in Kilika...the Al-Bhed Psyches are located on the airship on the left hand door after you exit the bridge of the airship....lakkam is the girl who is running around...berrik and the rest are inside. also if you dropped a player off your team....ie you thought he sucked and another team got him and beefed him up.....the Besaid Aurochs are located in the locker room at Luca stadium(left door from the save sphere)
Additional player locations:
Wedge and Biggs: in Luca Stadium guarding the stadium itself(straight behind the save sphere)
Rin: he is a useful blitzer not the greatest but he comes with cool abilites he's random I personally have him on my airship 1st corridor from bridge to the right.
Miyu: as stated earlier on the north wharf of the Moonflow when you get off the shoopuf go up/left then to the left and you'll see a ticket booth and she is sitting on the bench...she is the best goalie I've seen in the game.
Zev Ronso: Luca Stadium, right side exit, 1st conector hallway thingy...he's decent I used him for about 3 games then got Graav as a free agent so go figure.
Nedus: Luca Stadium, left side exit, at the end of the 1st hallway. ummm i used him like 1 game he sucked at that time but the Al-Bhed took him for 30 games after that so......
Shaami: south exit at the center flower thingy that the music hall and cafe hall lead to....extremely hich endurance and shoot.
Jumal: in the cafe area in Luca. when you enter the cafe area(not the cafe itself) go to the couple talking on the left handside near the Luca statue and he blitzes.....he has a pretty high CA if I didn't already have Miyu with all the stuff she has I would have taken him...now he plays with the Kilka beast(on my games).
Shuu: in the cafe in Luca on the right handside talking amoungst blitzball fans.....if you pick her up right when you start playing she might be of help...her basic good stats En=10, Sh=10, Bl=9 so it would be good if you just started.
Zalitz: he's found on your way to the music hall(from the luca save sphere take the south exit go to the flowered circle then go north) he's the second guy just chillin on the right handside....I've seen him go to 3 different teams already his At is way up there.
Naida: at the Al-Bhed shop in the calm lands. extremely fast but not much else that's great.
Ropp: Mi'ihen highroad at the shop to the left of the desk....pretty good blocking and decent speed.
well....that's about all that I know right off the top of my head.....there are many more out there...and I'll take the time to list them in the future....just ask if you need a specific one.

Where do you find Mep (the preist guy) He was recruited by Kilika and although he is not that good, I still am curious as to where he is located.

I have yet to see Mep.....he hasn't been drafted by any teams as of yet....but as you play on I know you get more stuff...I'm only like win level 12 with 55 wins....but in the Mi'ihen temple there is a priest in the left hand room who when I checked him say "blitzball fan lv.1" unsignable.....so I just might not be up there enough to sign him.....I just now got the Jecht Shot 2 which is pretty cool....my friend has told me to keep playing though to get the Jecht Shot 3.
oh yeah a couple of more players for yall.
linna= macalania temple at the entrance....she rocks.
durren= in the valley in the calm lands.....pretty good goalie.
kyou= right as you enter djose temple....has pretty good Bl and At.
macaffery= thunder plains. awesome shot, endurance, and pass...but extremely slow.....would be a good Lf to do some "cherry picking" as its known in hockey.
Tattus= kilika by the ferry. pretty good Bl and At and kinda fast.
valucha(i don't think I spelt her name right)=in besaid. good everything but speed.

well at least i had a right guess.....how high does your blitz level have to be to activate him?
